bet you have chrome tailpipes..... LOL jk.... I do hear you on the chrome and it took a bit for me to appreciate it too. Truth is I had ordered a blacked out black on black pp2 when this Bullitt fell on my lap. I almost passed on it because of the green paint alone and the chrome accents didn't help my initial attitude towards the car. But once I saw it in person I fell for the look: nostalgia meets technology. And the stripped down (no wing, badges, emblems etc appeal to me) And the fact that they're very rare in my area made it that much more appealing, not to mention the extra power with the Shelby bits.
Im not the guy that bought this car because I have a connection with the movie... I was born 10 years after it was in theatres and if Im being honest I still have yet to watch the whole movie. (I've watched the chase a hundred times tho)

Pointless comment, sigh. I'm talking about the original and the 2nd remake. Because I like the original less blingy than the new has nothing to do with how I like my JUSTAGT nothing special Mustang. And all I am referring to is the chrome accent piece around the grill, windows and polished lip of the rims. These would have been more in line had they been black. Not saying it isn't a beautiful car....just a comment of the chrome.

But the new one had notably less chrome trim then the original. If in the original, you mean the one in the movie. The latest is a more subtle take on the original.

If you mean the 2001, as the original Bullitt replica, I'd say the 19 has less bling, as the 2001 had the horse, badges on the rear, gas cap, etc. All stuff that sticks out more noticeably.

And I like your colour a lot, but as a car, it certainly sticks out a while lot more then a dark Highland Green Bullitt.

I didn't think the original had any, but I'll research it and learn a bit. It's the trim around the windows that throws me off....and the grill. I use to be a HUGE chrome guy with Mustangs to prove it but when I went with my 04 Cobra in a Comp Orange I blacked everything out as I have this S550. Orange and chrome are a no go in my book. Our tastes change I guess. Still a beautiful car and a specialty. I'll get into a Shelby one day....but between this 600 payment my 600 2018 F150 payment and my 2100 house payment it'll be a few years. Enjoy your car, honestly not trying to be an ass with a personal opinion of a minor aspect of the car.

You are correct indeed. Much more chrome and I can see where they get the inspiration from.
