got install finished and first start, it wouldn’t run for shit. We realized we didn’t set the BAP. Don’t quite understand the instructions....
also got low oil pressure and a couple back fires.
Can anyone lend a hand with getting BAP set? I’m hoping this is the issue.
Maybe bypass it and see if it idles at all?

Thanks

Got what install finished?

nowhere near enough info here to help you.

lack of BAP wont make the car not run.

Did you install OPG? Timing off?

need more info.

Whipple Gen 3, stage 2 with oversized heat exchanger.
Bypassed BAP And it runs fine. Need to be that dialed in.
Was waiting on oil to come, I think that why I’m getting low oil pressure.
I will get oil changed and see if low pressure light goes away, that’s my biggest concern at this point.

What tune are you using? You don't need a BAP with the Whipple tune unless you're running a smaller pulley.

Lund requires a BAP to tune.

Low oil pressure when idling? Or was engine trying to barely idle and threw oil pressure light? The oil pump is crank driven off the front of the motor, it either works or it doesn't. Any leaks anywhere?

After about 30 seconds it throws warning, I think it might be a tune issue. Car has oil.
No leaks so far, haven’t got car up to temp. Don’t want to run it with warning

Im guessing youre on the base tune from lund? Is your car a pp? Did you tell lund this? If its a pp car and you didnt tell them then it will throw the oil pressure code.

Above statements are correct in regards to low oil pressure warning. Lund gave you a PP tune and need to revert it to a non PP. there is also no issue running your car until then. The tune is looking for the input from the gauge which you don’t have and is causing that warning. Super simple fix.

Agree with the oil pressure problem. Common thing with the base Lund tune.

As far as the BAP... The JMS isn't activated until a certain throttle percentage. So that not being set correctly shouldn't affect anything. Maybe the connection to/from the fuel pump was not good. Check the connectors/pins and make sure everything is tight. Settings on the BAP typically has it boost around 50% throttle to 18V.
