I went out after my traumatic event this time with octane adjust off which adds 6 more degrees timing and I'll I can say is I'm glad the peddle didn't stick. The power is smooth and pulls very hard and fast, but not enough straight road around here for this now. I was only able to wind out 3rd to 4 th a couple times and didn't break traction even with 275/35 NT555 street tires on 35 F day, really suprised me with all the people saying there's breaks loose in 3 rd and 4 th. I could blaze them in second from a roll if I matted it, but could control wheel spin if I wanted to. 3 rd grear hooks no spinning. This car is so civilized and smooth compared to my 92 kenne bell 363 CID coupe which made massive torque (@700 TQ, trapped at 138 mph) and could blaze 315/35 DR in 3rd sometimes 4th.Glad nothing besides a few tight cheecks :eyebulge: Now that the heart rate has settled down how bout that Whippple pull![]()
In the heat of the moment with the engine bouncing off the rev limiter clutch in my face looks like:eyebulge: I was pumping the peddle like a mad man, then I thought turn the key off....fuck wheres the key, my first push start vehicle and muscle memory not worky so good now. Finally eyeball caught the start button and I jammed it in....WTF nothing happened motor was still blazing I had push and hold the start button for the motor to finally shut down:clap2: God dam thing seemed like it was possessed by the devil himself. Must remember hold button down to kill the bitch next time, but hopefully this will never happen again. God I molested my brand new whipple blown GT on the first time out. In retro spect I'll bet the entire event that has played over and over in my head all day lasted maybe 3-5 seconds.lol, great story. Congrats on the new setup! I bet there was a huge sense of relief once you discovered the mat was the culprit and nothing was wrong with your car.
