Having had a rock destroy my AC condenser once before (on a modified grilled, not a wide-open one) I don't think this is even remotely a good idea. The stuff behind that grille is fragile, important and expensive.

Some companies do make a black wire mesh grill. Still a grill there but its mesh like a window screen so it looks very similar from a few feet away as you can see right in, but protects the internals.

I actually like the look, bit more aggressive looking, but wouldn't do it personally as stuff could fly in there and cause damage.

Nope, not seeing the attraction of this :shrug:

Looks awful IMO.
I didn't want to say it either...but yea it doesn't look good to me at all. I saw the pics of (I'm guessing) this car on the track and I just assumed they were removed to keep them from getting rock damage because it looked unsightly, its not as bad directly from the front but at an angle the condenser is set back too far for it to look right.

I know it isn't going to hurt anything being open but the way the front end is designed it just looks unfinished. To each their own tho.
