I could not stand the feel of the seam on the standard shift knob that it wasn't long before I picked up a new shift knob. I settled with the Roush shift knob in white. Install was super simple and probably took me 3 minutes tops. You screw off the old knob, apply the supplied blue loctite and screw on the new shift knob and let it set overnight.
Video on CJPP was spot on preventing you from screwing the new shift knob too low, preventing the reverse collar from fully engaging. Bottom of the knob should be screwed until it meets the top of the collar...from there, give it 3 more turns and leave it. Make sure you test the gear in reverse before you let it set.
Really love how the white really pops in the interior. Makes me want to add the red GT350 Start button now to give the interior some contrast....sometimes these small mods go a long way.
