What is the purpose of the flex pipe?

Looks like a patch fix, and a crappy one at that, for an NVH issue. I'm guessing it necks down for either a clearance issue or just as a cost-savings to use a smaller flex piece (those are pricey).

My American Thunder Axle-back will be here Friday. I ordered this H-Pipe kit a month ago tomorrow and it looks like it might be another week or two. Apparently the piping for these kits are done but the band clamps are on backorder. Trying to be patient is hard but I am looking forward it.

You guys have brought the stock system to life! It sounds like a proper mustang with these pipes installed. Great work guys!

In the install though, is there cutting involved for the catted and flex pipe section? Sorry for the ignorance.

this is a very cool upgrade and i am sure will easily outsell some other options on the market.

why are some of you guys all wanting the H pipe versus the X? Is there some huge diff in sound or power delivery? this can be quite subjective to most just curious to hear why some want one over the other.

H pipe is a deeper non-raspy tone vs X-pipe. X-pipe might make a few more HP compared to the H.

This car and every exhaust system I have heard to date, does not sound like the traditional 5.0/4.6 deep mellow sound, it sounds like a raspy fart can. That's why I want this kit and the flowmaster mufflers.

Have you heard the Corsa exhaust system yet? Sounds pretty amazing. That is most likely what i'll be ordering once they update some pricing/availability.

I have but it's too expensive, no way I'm paying 1400 for 75 dollars in pipe and clamps and two 100 mufflers

It's around 1700 for the camaro kit, I'm guessing 1400 to 1700 range . Still way to pricey , just paying for the name
