The American Thunder axle-back, with factory resonator in place, had a deep rumble and not raspy at all under throttle. The larger tips fit just fine, as well. [ame=""]

Maybe it's to avoid making down to the 2" mating points on the factory system. Go past the factory clamp and cut/clamp in to the 2 1/2" portion.

I've got the American Thunder axle back and a resonator delete. The axle back uses the Super 44 mufflers. A little louder than the 60 series in the catback.

It's hard for me to believe that the base stereo doesn't share the same harnesses as any other cars. Has anyone looked in to this? I'm only looking to buy a Pac harness to add my own amps and retain the factory stereo.

Your muffler selection will determine amount of drone, not the x-over. The resonator is what tames that drone.

That picture is not accurate. The kit is just like the X-pipe kit pictured on their site.
