there's a difference between paypal or amzon-card style 'deferred' vs 0% cards. In either case why on earth would you not be making monthly payments? I take the amount charged, divide by term and that's my monthly which is set to auto-pay so there are no "oops". If you miss a payment the penalty rate will typically last 6 months so you never want to trip that trigger.
Even if late on a payment financial institutions will instate the deferred interest in most cases. They hope you are late so they can then not only make the 3% surcharge from the purchase on the sellers end but also now get you at prime +. Read the fine print of 99% of the 0% interest offers.

There are people who think that as long as they aren't being turned over to debt collection they are paying in a timely manner. Other's think they can miss a payment when it conveniences them and still be considered timely. Yet others think that they can simply put the payment in the mail or pay on line at the last minute of the 11th hour and expect it to clear in time. Plenty of scenarios of ideas people have that think they are somehow entitled to more time than what the due date states on the bill. I don't use paypal for anything short of paying in full and only when there is no other means of purchasing the item (E.G. a used item for sale on this website that is not local). I don't do Amazon CC's. Anything I purchase online (through paypal or the site) goes to one specific credit card used for nothing else which is paid off at the end of the month. It has a low limit on it in the event it is compromised.

Financing a performance part is no different than financing half of the useless shit you all purchase on installment plans.
