Good evening y’all. I went ahead and purchase 1050x, JMS V2 bap, 3.50 pulley, gates belt and 170 tstat from lethalperformance. I can’t wait to install these parts and see the results! I’ll be using my sct x4 and get the tune from Lund to save a few $$$. What kind of gains should I expect? Another 50 rwhp is fine if that’s even attainable.

Did Lund have a problem tuning with your SCT X4 Tuner?
I know he sells a lot of NGauges.

No not yet. I’m on my last revision using my sct x4. I’m getting a knock or false knock atm. I’m going to add some octane booster again and see how it goes.

I have had good luck using the new VP Racing Octanium Unleaded Fuel Additive.I mix 2OZ per gallon of 93 octane pump fuel and I always mix my own fuel. You can buy it at Auto Zone for about $22.00 for 32OZ.

Thanks man and I’ll try that. Also, I need to figure out how to install install a simple boost gauge.

Lund will tune with X4 or their Ngauge. Personally from experience I will stay with the Ngauge after having an X4 tuned through another big name. The Ngauge is much more useful and loads revisions faster. Datalogging is a synch and way easier to extract and email. X4's only benefit is their versatile datalogging if you use a laptop. I still use their livelink to view my Lund logs I pull off the Ngauge. You just have to know Lunds acronyms for all of their PIDS they log. Some are obvious while others aren't.

The only reason I used my sct x4 because I used on my 2012 Mustang GT manual. I’m glad I kept it but I heard Ngauge is a lot better.

It's way better. Log with a push of a button, loads tune in 1/4 of the time, better mounting options, logging inputs easier to get working and configurable alarm LEDs to name a few.

I heard it’s too but I’m trying to use what I have. We’re working with the knock issue right atm. If I can’t any info installing a boost gauge, I might take off my 3.50 and go back to 3.7 again. I can tell the difference between the pullies too , but I can’t put my engine to the grave just yet.

Shouldn't have any problem tuning with the SCT on a 17, its really just the 18+ that its a hit or miss on. I would say you should make that amount of power out of that kit with ease honestly. Thanks for the support!
