My R has matte film on the stripes and the areas between in regular clear film. Not a single person has noticed. I'm using s.tek film though and it lays better than my old xpel did on my previous 350.

OP add the trunk black panel to your list. It scratches easily and is the first place to get dirty and necessitate cleaning. Its cheap too.

The Xpel installer actually suggested that area for those very reasons. Haven't had my car done yet, but contemplating.
You should do it. My panel is all scratched up, and I am anal when it comes to washing my car.

Just ordered those pieces, thanks. I already have full frontal which I did from a kit on ebay with 3m pro stuff.
Just put it on. Did great except for the passenger side rear quarter, where I F'd it up a bit. They seem pretty cool though, they have a "goof proof" policy and will ship a replacement piece cheap.

Okay, The consensus is cover the rear deck panel. Mine is not scratched up yet and I want to keep it that way.

Happy with Xpel Now!!

Well I got my car back from the installer and they did a beautiful job! Super happy with the outcome. As I stated earlier, I was not a fan of a seam right on the top of the front end, but that's the way Xpel designed the kit. After some discussion with Xpel and the owner of the shop, the owner said he could do a custom job without a seam! Take a look at the front end where you normally see a seam. :clap2: Had the full hood, full fenders, headlights, mirrors, black trunk lid panel and behind rear tires done.
