I know there are plenty of sound clips and videos so not posting anything like that, just my experience and impression. I got the Magnaflow Street Series catback after having the car 6 months. This is something I really wrestled with. Being a V8 guy I really just wanted to keep it quiet and hope nobody heard it. It's my commuter car for work and I'm on the phone a lot and need to be able to hear. The little tinny weak sound of the stock exhaust just begged for more though.
I've listened to countless clips of exhaust and read reviews. I was actually worried the Magnaflow might be too quiet from what others have said. It's fantastic though. It has a nice low tone. When you get on the gas it sounds sporty, not loud, obnoxious, screaming everyone look at the pos that needs a muffler. At light pedal, like on the highway going 70, you can barely even tell you changed the exhaust. Step on the pedal and you're quickly reminded. Mine is an automatic, it sounded really nice in sport mode down shifting on a quick slow down. Also, it really brought out the sound of the turbo's BOV. I had heard the intake did that. I know the Airaid closed box intake I got is conservative, maybe that's why I didn't hear it from that upgrade. Swapping the exhaust though, I get that nice "woosh"! Thank you Turbosmart!
The install was very easy. I've always taken my car to a shop to have exhausts put on since many times welding is involved and I can't weld. I did this by myself on jackstands in my garage with a 1/2" ratchet, 13mm socket and 15mm deep socket. The install said 2 hours. It took me only 2.5 hours including unboxing, jacking it up, letting it down and cleaning up. Normally I am VERY slow and always double whatever time they say it takes. I have t say, this was the perfect exhaust upgrade for me!
