Well, finally got our 10 sec pass(barely😂). Today was our last race for the year. We’ve got more goodies planned for this winter to hopefully put us in the 10.8’s consistently for next season.
Previous best was 11.006 with a 1.72 60’
Today was 10.991 with a 1.68 60’

Be careful around here on this forum. As of recent that's not a 10 second car! New drag racing rules made up right here on our very own website say that's an 11 second car until you're 10.50 or better!!
🤣🤣🤣

Congratulations on the 10 and that sixty-foot! what did you guys do different to achieve those results? Do you think the Hoosier QTP tires played a role there over the MT’s?

Nice. Looking at your specs, I see cobra jet listed. I assume intake. Tell me more!

Different wheel/tire set-up….saved 30lbs on rears and 8lbs on the front. We only got 3 runs, so won’t be able to play with air pressure until next season. They are lighter then the 305/45R17 ET Street R. I think I’m really gonna like the Hoosier’s.

IMO…..if you’re gonna run the CJ intake manifold, it really needs cam’s to take advantage of it. I’m adding Comp Cams for next season, along with BMR K-Member and Aerospace Components drag brakes. Hope to have a consistent 10.8 bracket car. It’s a dedicated 1/4 mile car….it’s not driven on the street.

congrat's 👍on the 10.9 pass. looks like the DA was -200 on that 10.9 pass, using the air density online website.

Here’s the DA chart for Woodburn dragstrip yesterday. This pass was ran about 9:15am. Something I don’t see talked about hardly ever. Cold air for the A10 is a double edge sword. My car never ran fast in cooler temps, it always ran its best passes in the heat of the day. It was super frustrating and confusing. Took me a full season to figure out why. Unless the tranny temp is above about 160, it shifts extremely lazy. I’ll get this car to run consistent 10.8’s, but it’s gonna take a bit more HP and less weight.

For bracket racing consistency, are you doing anything special for monitoring trans, coolant, oil temps? Are you still running OEM ATF and other fluids?

We have 97 passes on the car and have never had high tranny temps…it’s just the opposite. My home track starts qualifying at 9am and getting the tranny up to temp is a struggle for the 1st pass. Coolant and oil temps are never a issue because we usually have 1.5 hours between runs. Still OEM ATF and 5w50 FS Motorcraft motor oil.
