Found a 2016 Shelby 350 for sale for 47K USD, 49K miles, no exterior or interior damage, good service history, 3 previous owners, has some upgrades that I was planning on putting in the cars anyways, technology package with leather seats, and it's yellow with black stripes.

The dealership is offering a 36K/36-month warranty for 3.2k USD, should I get this?

And from what I described, does this car seem like a good deal? Anything I should look out for?

I mostly want to use this car for joy rides, current Mustang I drive now I drive 6k/8k miles a year, resale value isn't too important to me, only longevity

I posted the same thing on r/Mustang on Reddit, got a few yes's, some no's

Hey that sounds a lot like my car. $47k seems a little high for that mileage, but it's Pandemic pricing so 🤷‍♂️. If the engine was gonna pop it probably would have by now (pure speculation). What is the warranty? Ford ESP or some 3rd party?

Post some pics man!

Edited the post to add some pictures, the warranty is 3rd party from the dealership itself

Nice! What's the chassis number (if you know it)? BTW, I'd suggest looking into a Ford ESP (requires inspection for a used car) rather than Lander's warranty. At least carefully read the fine print. Are they going to cover a $25k (or more) replacement Voodoo if your engine blows?

Edit: with the aftermarket CAI and likely tune I'm guessing the chances of getting an ESP aren't good.

I love the car and I love the color. I think GT350s are awesome and I wouldn't worry at all about the mileage. However, that specific car has no coolers from the factory and you live in a hot climate. I'm crossing my fingers that coolers are one of the upgrades you mentioned. If you ever want to drive hard it will need coolers added.

Ask me how I know..

If it has coolers I'd buy it and I'd buy the warranty too. No coolers I would try to get the dealer to install them for you.

The chassis # is 1FA6P8JZ9G5521335. I'll definitely consider the Ford ESP warranty.

Not sure about any installed coolers, but the car was in Oklahoma for around 3 years so maybe the original owner installed one, but one of the first mods I'll put on this car if it already didn't have it is an oil separator and cooling. I'm not planning on driving it too hard though.

All you see is a gt350 at a price point.

49k miles and 3 owners would do it for me. Then there is the fact that its a tech pack car, which are nothing but problems, well...... Good luck. I know what I'm talking about. You should run.

That's the VIN, the chassis# is on the dash plaque (above the glove box). For what it's worth I've driven mine in 90-100 degree temps without issues and mine doesn't have a trans/diff coolers. YMMV.

Think of it this way. If it's the original motor then it hasn't broke. And everyone talks trash of the 2016 tech packs but what's the rarer version of GT350's? 2016 tech packs, only year without the cooler's makes it unique in my book

A 2016 with 49K doesn't bother me, the 3 owners raise some red flags.

Get a full service history and I'd press the dealer to give you the Ford ESP at a discount.

Forget the ESP. That’s a JLT CAI which means it’s tuned.
I'd pass, if the tuning device is with the car I MIGHT reconsider. I'd want a price reduction.
