I'm curious what wheel/tire setup the high hp crowd is running on the street.

My Whipple gets installed this week.

Thanks in advance

I'll have 315/35/20 MPSS. We'll see how it goes...I'm guessing traction is going to be a big issue in the upper RPMs.

For real traction you'll want a true drag radial / track tire like the NT05R, R888, or ET Street.

If it's more of a daily and could see rain you'll likely need to go with something like the MPSS.

With 600+hp you'll still likely spin quite a bit on the street with the drag radials.

the racestars are the most popular, 17x9.5 or 18x10.5

for tires, you can do a full slick in a 17, drag radials in either

m/t is coming out with a really nice dr for the 17s and 18s in about a month, should be the best 17/18 dr ever made

we also have the welds available but they are a little more $$

Forgestar CF10 in 20x11 with NT555R Drag Radials in 305/35/20. I'm a little over 800hp at the tire with my latest revisions.

ET Street R, seems like the popular choice for this crowd would be 305/45/17, which is 28" tall.

What kind of traction do you have on the street with that?

With the centri bringing in torque a little later, although with my setup it still comes in fast and hard, I have decent traction in second gear. This by no means is a great track setup, it is just efficient for second gear kick down rolls etc.

Michelin PSS's 295/35/19s on the PP rims. Granted my ProCharger tune is less than ideal... the car still hooks and pulls hard at WOT.

MPSS 295/35/19's on 11" Forgestar F-14's. Hooks much better than the stock Pirelli's but can still be squirrely in 2nd and 3rd.

Are any of you running the NT05r/Nt555r on a daily driver?
I am not running them but I read and talked to a few people who did/have all said tire ability to hook was amazing but the tread life was stupidly short one said barely got over 6k with them another one said about 8k none of these miles were drag time just street driving. As I said I did not run them I went with INVO because of the tread life

nt555 is the better tire for a daily if your going to be driving in any rain

the nt05 will be the stickier tire
