Glad to hear you can perform e-tunes. What is your rate for an e-tune?
Please feel free to PM Anthony@fftec for more info!

Thanks for shipping my kit. How do I get later my tune? We got another 4" of snow so it takes a while before I can install the parts. :(

You're still getting snow? Aww, sorry to hear that. It got up to 72* around here last week. :) When you're ready for a tune just send a PM or email to [email protected] and he'll take care of you.

Still? People said to me when I arrived in Canada that they shoveled snow in August one year. Couple years ago I came back from Texas in June and looked next day out of the window and it was snowing! I think I have somewhere pictures of it. Yeah I know. Canada. :D

But thanks! Good to know who to talk to. And until I get everything installed you guys know more about the EcoBoost Mustang. :D

Whats the difference with the EcoEconomy and EcoPro?
— FFTEC EcoBoost Intercooler option “EcoEconomy” — based on a private label IC core —

EcoEconomy core specifications:

Core size: 11.80”h x 17.80”l x 3.35”w
Number of Rows = 17
Row size = .3"h x 17.80”l x 3.35”w
All aluminum Bar and Plate construction
Cast end tanks, fully TIG welded (by FFTEC)
Pressure drop @ ~24 PSI is ~0 to 1.4 PSI

EcoEconomy core volume:

304.11 CI total core volume
Each row is 17.89 CI

VS.

— FFTEC EcoBoost Intercooler option “EcoPro” — based on a Garrett/Honeywell intercooler core —

We opted to add another option to our IC offerings as we expect some owners will be pushing their cars beyond the efficiencies of the EcoEconomy.

EcoPro core specifications:

Core size: 12”h x 18”l x 3”w
Number of Rows = 14
Row size = .435"h x 18”l x 3”w
All aluminum Bar and Plate construction
Cast end tanks, fully TIG welded (by FFTEC)
Pressure drop @ ~24 PSI is ~0 to 1.8 PSI

EcoPro core volume:

328.86 CI total core volume
Each row is 23.49 CI

Thanks for all the specs. For a car that is going to be a weekend track car and once in awhile daily commuter, power wise, how much better is the EcoPro going to do?

It all depends on how hard you drive the car and the level of mods on the car.
For a track car you'll feel a difference in power and consistency between our basic economy core and our EcoPro intercooler. I honestly think our economy core is the best Bang-for-your-Buck intercooler for the EcoBoost Mustang. It's great for a drag/street car. But if you're doing open track sessions/ HPDE events you'll be much better off with the EcoPro core. Road/track sessions are much harder on the intercooler since you'll be doing WOT max boost pulls several times per lap, and many laps in a row. The EcoPro core just sheds heat better lap after lap without heatsoak. Your car will be able to put down the same power through the entire session. It's also a better core for anyone who likes to have fun on open, twisty backroads for the same reason.

I also want to point out that the intake included with the Max!Performance Pack IV is compatible with both stock and upgraded turbos. It's the first and last intake you'll need for this car.

Yea, I want your intake and intercooler, just not quite a fan of Cobbs tunes. Do you have a special on those two? I might also want to grab a few other things. My mustang was just ordered so I'm in the anxiety waiting period. lol

I'll talk with the guys on Monday and put something together for you, NP!
Did you get an auto or manual? What type of driving do you like to do? We're constantly adding parts to our catalog so let us know what you're looking for and we'll do our best to get it for you. You can also save a few bucks by combining orders into one package, so browse our website and see if there's anything else you need.

I ordered an auto and my style will be around 40% street 60% track. I'll be looking to order a tune, intake, intercooler, downpipe and resonator delete going into stock mufflers to start. After that, parts will most likely be ordered as needed or if something new hits the market and I gotta have it.
