:frusty: Bloooody ford....Yep! That's what the yanks have been having to put up with with AC failures, some have had it done a couple of times.I haven't got a choice the only fix for these bad connection/connectors is a new wiring loom.I new that when the new actuators failed after a few hours it was something more involved but I was hoping it wouldn't come to this butchery.
Tell her your pet dog just puked in and over her favourite shoes or handbag, she will then understand. :lol:Thankyou, had a couple of whiskies tonight lol
My wife said why are you so upset it's only a car :eyebulge:
Oh god... she doesn't even realise she's playing second fiddle to it does she ;)!Thankyou, had a couple of whiskies tonight lol
My wife said why are you so upset it's only a car :eyebulge:
When my car was built August 2015 it was stuck in the factory for weeks before gate release. Who knows what was going on. There could have been issues that were being addressed I will never know. The first thing I noticed when I took delivery was low coolant level, and the plug/sockets in the wiring loom near washer bottle were hanging down looseHow quickly does Ford correct things like this at the production stage?
Like the loom issue for example, what was the timescale between the first cars failing and the revised looms being fitted to the cars during production?
I'm expecting mine summer next year and it would be nice to think that Ford will address this at the production stage before then.
I presume this has been an issue in the states for some time.
Fingers crossed for you. I wouldn't want my car ripped apart for no reasonUpdate
Service hasn't contacted me yet about parts so that's been a week. I wouldn't have thought this loom would be a regular part, but who knows.Funny thing is at the weekend the complete system started working again, heat both sides, and direction to windscreen, face and floor. What I have noticed is the AC on my side is very slightly less cold???
In my mind I'm convinced it's the evaporator, because that's been the major fault on this system in the states.Iam going to have to speak to the service manager the way forward, but they are convinced it's the loom.I don't want it all ripped out for nothing, and it won't be if it continues working lol.
