Has anyone actually fitted a fastback exhaust on a GT Vert? just kinda curious. I know there is something with the chassis braces but curious if it will fit without a lot of modification. I figure a 3" is better than 2.5" for my final goals.

I do not believe that 3" pipes will fit under the convertible chassis brace. My car has the Ford Performance by Borla Sport catback exhaust with 2.5" pipes and it was a tight fit - the chassis brace had to be removed and reinstalled to install the exhaust. I suppose a chassis brace with bends could be fabricated to clear larger pipes, but it would not be a simple task.

That was about what I thought. I was looking at the Borla because of this. But I was curious if a fastback exhaust would fit as well. I looked at the stock exhaust and it looked like there was some room but maybe not.

What makes you think you need a honking 3" pipe. it's not an oil burner.

I knew there was a simple solution somewhere lol
You can use washer or something else to make-up the 1/4" needed. $50 bucks seems a lot, I bought thicker washers just to give me a little more room on my Magnaflow exhaust. Just my 2 cents and it seems needed on this solution.

Yeah I was thinking the same , just buy some washers and stack them. End result is the same. I just didn't think about putting a spacer in there

I only did mine towards the back which is where the issue lies...

Originally I was thinking to just oval the pipe where it went over the braces , wouldnt be too hard to do either.
Tried doing that with my first setup which I was early on and I feel they (MBRP Exhaust) used me as a test fit vehicle, after three different mod's they sent I gave up and asked for a refund. Every time I had to jack back end up, remove brace and then install. PITA!!! They refunded me and then I purchased the MF street system with no issues!!!

I would have an issue trying to oval aluminzed steel. The system I was looking at was Stainless , so it shouldn't be too bad.

The stainless will be harder to oval than you think, trust me... Had to heat and it still was hard to compress in areas. Also, makes flow a little less...
