What a coinkidink.... my set arrived today: 305/30 and 325/30 19's.... for my 6GR wheels. :D

These are summer/dry high performance tires... not for daily driving since it'll wear fast in no time if you do.

Bossing how do you feel about these for track tires? They may not be as good as cup 2s but for the price it's crazy not to buy right?

Here's a good review of the tires. . . my major reason is wet weather and again, not using the CUP 2's until track season (for me that's late spring, summer and early fall.)

I don't think you can beat the price on these tires, PERIOD. I ran MPSS all year as a daily tire in the rain and cold and had no issues . . these Conti's seem to be much better in the wet than MPSS's.

Not bad then, especially considering they are essentially R-comps. Might be worth a shot at that price!

MPSS will be fine even in temperatures as low as 0F as long as there is no snow/ice. I have used them and the previous version Pilot Sport for several years with no issues.

However, if there is even a tiny bit of snow, i mean like literally 1/8", you are done for. You will be sliding backwards and sideways. You could go in a straight road no problem. It all depends on where you live. If you live in midwest where the roads are all flat, no problem. But if you live in an area with hills and valleys, if you stop at a hill (say a red light), no way you are moving forward.

These ARE track-intended tires... I have friends with Porsche GT3/4 cars that used these and they grip just as good or close to Cup2's. Some argue even a tad better... they remind me of my "Dunlop Sport Maxx Race" tires on my GT4.

They grip well, sticky well, but as stated they can wear out fast... faster than Cup2's which are higher treadwear rating anyway (more than double). If these tires were standard prices, I wouldn't have bought them.

The non-R wheels are still staggered and by the same amount as the R.

I agree with nastang87xx, very little impact running them square despite the 1/2" difference in rim.

R-spec wheels?
Nope, just the 10.5's and 11's. I'd rather be on 305/30 front and 325/30 rear but options on tires are limited for my needs. On my next set, I might just say eff it and go to R888's but that'll screw up my autocross class. Also depends on if I get wheels or not.

The OP referred to the R...
