Yeah man. Ill keep in mind for the future. I owe you a beer. The tire size has been by question for me since there not many options for 295. If you drop down to 285 there are a bunch more options. Ford performance says they did winter testing with 255 front & 275 rear. That seems like a crazy stretch. The conti's can be installed on 10-11.5" wheel per their website and for under $500 lets give em a try.
My wife has been running Conti winter tires on her Honda for 4 seasons now and they have been awesome. Night and day difference over her all seasons.

Any suggestions. Its 45 degrees and lower here a lot and I would rather use the cup 2s for the track if I go. Ive searched threads for options in tires and sizes but am having trouble finding answers. Anyway I want to run some rubber on the stock carbon wheels that will be decent year round. Dry conditions only but in Virginia so it stays cooler Dec-March. Thanks.
I would look at another set like J_Maher_AMG recommended. Yes it will cost more than just a tire swap but if you damage the CF wheels in the winter it will cost a boat load more. Grab a set of SVE R350 from LMR, get the conti deal thill444 posted and with new TPMS and install you should be all in for under $1,800.

My Conti tires from Priority Tire via Newegg were ordered Friday afternoon and delivered this morning. They look perfect and get installed Friday AM. Can’t wait! Donuts in a snow covered parking lot is on my plans soon...

Install completed on Monday by jackmobiletire.com. If you live in the philly area they are a great option. Touchless install and they will come to you house/office for about the same price as most shops. We had light rain and in the mid 30s in the beginning of the week and the tires worked as they should. Below freezing yesterday with some flurries, again no issues. Not to say they are the best snow tires out there but for $465 delivered I would buy them again. Ride is smooth with no road noise and the front does not track like the Super Sports.

I can take some but voodoo-r pictures and analysis is spot on.
I have had mine on for almost a week and they great so far. Zero issues in the cold and with some light snow. I don't drive the car much if there is more than an inch of snow on the roads but it's peace of mind and I just don't want the car sitting all winter. Especially on a cold clear day. We did get sub 20 degree temperatures and the tires had no issues at all with grip. They also don't seem to have excessive road noise like some snow tires do.

Cost per tire has gone up to $149 per.

Edit: Ordered a set. Even at $149, it's a deal and it'll let me drive the car in below freezing temps.

Yeah man....Its been below freezing and sunny the last couple of days for me. Tires have been doing their job. You should enjoy em. Too bad on the price increase but still a good deal as you said.

Went with 40's to compensate for the small stretch. An ancillary gift of these tires was the softer quieter ride.... I know grip, grip and more grip is the goal for our cars but I'm not mad at this cloudy ride for the winter months at all.

UPDATE: the transaction was cancelled by Priority Tire for unknown reasons. Tried to call them and it’s a generic voicemail with a full inbox. They may be going out of business or some other issue, but I guess I’ll be chasing some of the other options.

That sucks man. Was going to purchase 2 more to save as reserve for the future. Keep us posted on what you find.

Sorry I forgot to add what I found. Turns out if you order through Newegg they have a policy that their vendors must ship the item in 4-6 days or they automatically refund the money. Tires were not shipped due to Holiday BS, several excuses were provided as to why, but I get it.

Priority Tire explained it all to me, but didn’t make any effort to make a new order. Instead they said I could go to their website and place my order again.

Still thinking about it.

(1st car, long gone) '86 5.0 GT Jalapeno red. '20 HEP-R. The other cars don't really matter.
Still sold on those continental tires? I am deciding on a set of cold weather (not in snow) tires and found this thread. Can’t get 285 square setup, because the R rear wheel is 11.5ā€ , so I have to do 295/35. Good news is extra ground clearance for the driveway. 😁
