Really depends alot on taste but I prefer the styling of pre facelift, I have a 2017 GT. I prefer old school analogue gauges and less electronic driving aids like lane departure warnings etc. I have an auto and prefer the 6 speed over the 10 in the way it operates. So really just preferences, anyway what ever model you get make it the V8, you won't regret it

Mustang without the V8 is like strawberries without cream,Morecambe without Wise,Laurel without Hardy…

Pre facelift with real gauges and very little safety stuff is preferable to me.Only thing I miss is the facelift switchable exhaust.

The Ecoboost is OK, if the V8 sound doesn't captivate you as much as it did me.
If you're going to test drive a V8, be prepared to buy one.
Sort out the finances beforehand or better don't bother with the test drive!

You can switch them of after first start, and they will never bother you.
Even the cruise control can be switched from adaptive to regular.

I would prefer the 2015-2017 from the outside, but regarding the things, that matter for daily driving or even communting, the 2018-2023 has more to offer. For example the LED headlight are really good for being not adaptive.

A 2017 USDM GT with full options (and clean title) would be the golden mean for me, because it came with 35W Xenon (25W for EU LHD/RHD), adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitor but the pre-facelift facia. To get rid of the mph instrument I would switch to the 2018+ digital cluster. And of course install a Borla Touring cat back.
But not for you, because LHD. 😬

yeah the 35W headlights are needed for sure, anything other than a perfectly clear night and the 25W lights are the biggest speed limiter on the car. Working tribars, that'd be awesome too.

@Silver Dragon i got the Varex switchable fitted to my 17GT and it works great.

The resale value on preface lift is much better. A 2016 GT, manual, fastback was £36k new and still sell for £25-30k 9 years on. The £50k facelift start at £35k and Mach 1 closer to £50k.

Not so sure about that...

My 2019 car with plenty of options was well under £50k

Pre facelift cars are probably bottoming out now as some are nearly 10 years old. Condition and originality starts to become more of a factor. Plenty of near or even sub £20k cars from 2016 around and few over £25k unless they have very low mileage.

Mustangs hold their value well. I lost £15k over 6 years and 30k miles on my 2019 car which very few other cars would manage.
