Looking to see what the options are in the UK for replacing the standard Facelift bumper with a mach 1 aftermarket bumper. Seems popular in the states, specifically the 777 brand (I think). Looking around the UK though, there only seems to be the MP Concepts version, which doesn't get ringing endorsements on the quality and fitment front online....

Am i missing something, or does anyone have any insight on this?

They're all made by the same molding source in China. My son's 777 Mach 1 conversion kit was drop-shipped from Ikon Motorsports. Quality is nowhere near OEM Mach 1 but it's amazing how well the reverse engineering allows OEM Mach 1 grill trim to fit. Also, the kits include adapter brackets to allow fitment of 2018+ Turn signals on the Mach 1 conversion kit. (OEM Mach 1 uses 2015-17 turn signals.)

That is really useful information thank you! I currently have a line on AMPP branded one - Havent seen the most love for the MP Concepts version around. When we are talking Quality of the bumper being less than OEM, what is it we are talking about exactly?
My main concern would be the fit and finish visually looking poor, Things not lining up, Looking cheap etc, But im sure I could live with it not feeling great in the hand as such

My son hit a chunk of road debris and cracked his OEM GT Bumper and splitter. Filing an insurance claim would be asking for trouble for a rate increases so he bought the 777 Mach 1 kit as a cheaper solution than buying OEM replacement parts. (I'm confident any Mach 1 conversion kit on the market is molded by AMPP.) Paint prep took the usual time to fill, sand, and prime and the polypropelyne is thinner than the "sturdier" OEM bumper skin. The splitter mounting hardware and retention is inferior to OEM, and the corner fitment at the fender and headlight interface took much effort to close the gap. My son liked my spare OEM Mach 1 2-piece two-tone grill with the pony better than the simpler 777 kit grill so we were surprised the OEM grill fit perfectly. Both upper and lower splitters are necessary to close the gap with the GT undertray. The lower splitter is especially flimsy compared to the heavy OEM design but then again, you get what you pay for. The final result looks fine and the kit is designed to mate with the standard (non PP1) GT fender liners and undertray. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

Thanks, the UK mustangs all come with what the US refer to as the "Performance Pack", so the issue here is the under tray I think. How long has the aftermarket bumper been on the car? Any long term issues? I have read things online about the extra air flow through the additional grills causing damage to the wheel arch liners or something like that. A real mach 1 has the coolers behind each of them for the air to hit

My son's car has the PP1 package so the stepped undertray and matching fender liners had to be switched to the base version, without the brake cooling tunnels, so the undertray would properly mate with conversion kit splitters. He hasn't noticed any concerns with the fender liners being blasted into the tires but you can notice the windshield washer bottle through the open bumper vent. The Mach 1 fender liner is louvered in front of the tire for oil cooler air flow so you could always poke a few holes in the liners if you're concerned about possible pressure buildup?

hmmmm food for thought. Im not a fan of bumper on the facelift model, and its tough to justify a mach 1 at the price difference. What I don't want to do though is to "Ruin" the car by swapping the bumper
