Generally, west of Sears along Stanton. I'm thinking it's going to be crowded, depending on when we get there. I can only imagine other Ford, and possibly Dodge and Chevy groups are planning on parking there as well.

I think Dennis mentioned Sears was going to charge $5 for parking???

Yeah, that info is from an email he forwarded me.
I was thinking we would need to get there really early...I believe the registrants enter at 7 or 7:30? Sounds like we may need to meet at 6:30 to avoid crowds, oy :headbonk:

I'm retired... nothing happens before 9am :paddle: and my son's coming with me so that slows me down too.

I'd like to think that if anyone wanted to meet at Starbux on Victory, or some other convenient location in The Valley, and left around 7:30 it should be fairly reasonable getting down there???

I really like this...but not sure how many will want to hang out, considering we are connecting with the NorCal guys and girls...Will Starbucks care if 60 stangs use their lot? Ha! :p

I would love to do whatever works for everyone...pretty game for anything, really

Where you staying

I'll be coming down for this show. I am planning on staying at the Best Host Inn, not a super great hotel. The best thing about this hotel is that its 'across' the street from where the show is. Around 6-7 the cars start lining up, so you get a preview of the show.
Last year we walked over to the Knott's hotel, a lot of neat older Fords over there.

This show is a must-see! Register your car if you can, if you can't come on down and spectate.

I plan on coming to the show as a spectator too. My wife and i will be shooting straight down to Knotts all the way from home so i don't have an exact arrival time. It is probably a good 2 hours depending on traffic and i think we will just park at the hotel parking lot and walk over to FFF. We have done this before and then we spend the night there so we can sleep in the next morning before heading home.

The $5 question. ;) I would love to hang out with some folks beforehand but an exact spot (or time) to do that has not yet been determined...at least that I know of... I know Sears is charging $5...

Looking at the map...around which storefront are you referring to there?

I'm pretty sure this lot and the Sears lot is one in the same. I would say if you get there early enough then the prime spot would be along Stanton Blvd as you will then be able to see all the cars rolling into the show. The actual FFF show is right across the street from this lot

klumpikat I would put it out to everyone with a suggested meet time early to get the best spot and then there are plenty of spots close by to walk for breakfast

Does anyone know when people (spectators) typically begin to arrive? About then would be a good time to meet, I suppose...

They open the gate to spectators at 10A :) I like the Sears parking lot idea. We could all meet there first and then show participants can group up and cruise into the show together:clap2::clap2::cheers:

I could be wrong but I suspect we will be directed where exactly to park at Sears once they collect the $5...

The only solution I can think of - and to keep things as minimally complicated as possible - is to meet at the lot containing the Starbucks at 8231 La Palma Ave, just across the street from the Sears before rolling into the lot. We wouldn't need to show up ridiculously early in some attempt to "secure" our own area, show participants and spectators can hang out together, people have a reasonable time window to arrive, and we can grab coffee in the process...

Maybe meet up 8 or 8:30? You guys have to prep for the show at like, 9 or something, right?

Personally, the meet spot sounds good, I'm up for anything there. However, from previous experiences I'm going to plan on lining up around 730-8a. If we don't make it in the gates by 10a they shut the gates on you since they allow spectators in at 10a. And then there is detailing that unlike to do in the morning once the car is parked. Let me know what everyone thinks:shrug:
