Is the sport exhaust mode loudest setting the 350 has? Dont see option for anything else unless the track drive mode opens the valves further like the regular GT.

Is it worth putting an Xpipe on this? Dont want to ruin the sound as it does sound pretty good as is.

Correct. Sport is the loudest mode available. You'll see that a fair amount of owners end up putting a resonator delete X-Pipe on their car. For the most part, adding this style X-Pipe generally does not drastically alter the tone of the car, but will increase the overall volume slightly.

To build on what Brian said, Sport mode on the 350 is pretty wicked by exhaust system standards, much less stock exhaust. I think the general consensus is that aftermarket systems, even though some are better, are not $2K better. the 350 has an x-pipe; comes stock with one. The most popular mod is to remove the resonators (on a non-R car). No resonators and aftermarket exhaust starts getting into rasp issues (seems to vary), etc.

Totally agree with everything said above. I have the Corsa Helix X-pipe on my car and it’s slightly louder than stock. I’m interested in putting the stainless works redline catback on because I want just a little more volume but as was previously mentioned, 2k is a bit steep for that when I could just drive like this for a couple more years, let my warranty expire on the power train, and then go headers/tube or more. I just think that 2k is better spent elsewhere

I replaced resonators with 2.75" straight pipes and like it. The X-shape came from the factory anyway. It didn't alter original tone but added rasp, pops and cracking. I paid only $160 for complete job out the door.

And I had the lethal performance res-delete x-pipe prior to my Corsa one and didn't care for it. The tone difference was subtle but I wasn't in love with it. Some people swear by the Lethal setup. To each their own.

It's a worthwhile $200 mod.

With the resonator delete, in "Normal mode" it just sounds normal. With the delete, it goes up a few db.

Sport is indeed the loudest option from the factory. I also agree the Corsa double helix X pipe is a great option on the 350s to get a more aggressive sound without being obnoxious or breaking the bank cost wise as well. We are a dealer for most all of the performance exhaust manufacturers and do a ton of Corsa / Thunderstorm installs here at the shop as well. So feel free to reach out if you'd like to get a quote for having one installed or even just the X pipe itself and we would be happy to help out. 313-561-5500 ext 1.
