Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere, but i keep hearing different answers so i thought i'd pose the question again: will a cat-back and/or axle-back system void your warranty?

p.s. any clips of the Ford Racing GT sport axle-back floating around?
I have ordered the FRPP Sport Cat back and I am being told from multiple sources that if you have it installed by a Ford Dealer your warranty is still intact. CJ Pony parts has assured me that as long as it's installed by a Ford Dealer it is still under warranty.

I ordered the FRPP because I like the sound but I have no idea if you were to install a Magna Flow if you are still covered, even if installed by Ford Dealer. Ford Racing parts installed by Ford Dealer is a definite ok with regards to warranty.

I have an appointment next week with a Ford Dealer. :headbang:

If you have a dealer install it then you get the exhaust system warrantied (same as your oem exhaust). According to my dealer the warranty on the rest of the car is not effected either way.

Will probably DIY mine as it looks like a 1 hour job at most and I'm guessing the dealer would want + - $75.00 and I have never needed an exhaust system warranty.

Do you know how much you will be charged?

Not the worst problem to have :-)

I think Ford really missed an opportunity here. Even Camaro and Corvettes offer a "sport" exhaust from the factory. If you asked me they should have offered at least the FRPP Touring exhaust as a factory option, probably bundled with the PP. Doubt they'd want the Sport since it probably violates some local laws :-)

I would love to hear the FRPP Touring Cat back. I think the Sport is too raspy for me. Otherwise Gibson sounds pretty good to me.

I also want to hear the FRPP Touring exhaust and I am shocked nobody has posted a video yet... With the cost of these mufflers, I damn sure want to hear them first. May have to hear them in person even.

So far, I like the MRT exhaust the best from what I heard in all of the videos, followed by Gibson and Roush, but for me, I only want a system slightly louder than stock (inside the car).

Just got an email from Don at Borla. He says that they are about to release the parts for the 2015 Mustang. "They should be released for sale within a month" was his comment. I asked the question but maybe someone else knows... Does Borla make their S type system with an H pipe? I really like the SW with the H pipe but think a Borla with an H pipe would be really sweet!

Which one is MRT? I think Roush would be way too loud for you.
I think the reason the Gibson was too loud for me was because it was a cat back with xpipe. I think if I keep the suitcase and just do axle backs, I could get the volume I'm happy with.

No the Gibson did not drone, but it was just too loud for me, especially on cold start.
I posted a video where i was in the driveway revving the engine a bit, but you can't really tell how loud it is by a video, you kinda gotta hear it in person.

Yeah, I'm still looking for that on too. I found some vids for older versions for the 11-14 cars, I'm thinking there probably isnt a huge difference in sound, unless they re-designed the mufflers, but not sure.
