Finally got into the shop, removed the resonator box and mufflers, just straight piping now and the vibrant tips. idling, couple of revs up to 4k then at end I rev it to around 2.3k rpm for cruising level sound.
Shop =$250
Tips=$80

That actually sounds really good. I thought it would sound like a fart box. Actually I think it sounds better than all the aftermarket ones I've heard so far.

How bad is the drone?

not all that bad actually. But I could be biased to how bad or not bad drone is since ive had so many loud exhausts.

Yeah, that actually does sound pretty good. I bet the drone is pretty apparent, though.

This is how it should sound from the factory, that turbo whine is what dreams are made of.

Exactly, I thought all the aftermarket solutions sounded too muffled and quiet, regular ole 4cyl sound, except for stainless works exhaust...it did sound pretty good.

I want an aggressive exhaust.

Can we get video clip of a drive by. I have not jumped to buy a exhaust system yet, as I have not heard one I am overly impressed with. What size pipe did you go with?

Sounds pretty good!

I wonder what effect removing the resonator would have combined with the roush axle-backs. Do you think it would change the tone at all? Or just increase the volume overall?

Won't change tone. It will increase volume.

Perfection Muffler on peters creek, they are one of the better exhaust shops around, and they been family owned since 1970. They didn't mandrel bend it or anything fancy tho, but they can build whole custom setups if you want.
