post a video. these are what i initially wanted but went with sport instead.
Here is a start up video of the Atak right after I installed it. Video doesn't do it justice, I was shocked how loud it was. Love it!

Id say The MBRP race cat back would have to be on the louder side and deeper side. I do still have the cats because Seattle is full noise Nazi's, but this kit does delete the resonator.

sounds level: 7/10
vs
stock: 3/10

Does anyone know for sure whether it is the mufflers or the H pipe that causes droning?

I have the Roush AB and there was no droning. I then had the resonator removed and the H pipe put in STILL no droning at all.

Based on the corsa exhaust I can say its the mufflers. Corsa uses their resonance eliminating mufflers on their system and it sounds like the car has no mufflers when wot but sounds like stock exhaust when cruising at same rpm, there is no fake drony noise when the engine is not under load. The exhaust sound is loud and based on throttle.. this gives a clean note thats free of unwanted noise

My thoughts that led to my purchase, and my thoughts afterwards...

I had full intentions of getting the Borla (or FRPP) Sport. I listening to clip after clip of tons of exhausts and always came back to those. I like the sound of the MangnaFlow Competition a lot, but didn't like the idea of the drone. So, I stuck with the Borla.

At the very end, I chickened out and went with the Touring. I couldn't be happier that I chickened out. The one thing I kept seeing a lot on many comments and videos for every exhaust was, "It is louder than the videos". That was what talked me down to the Touring. You will get lots of thoughts on this. I personally think that it is plenty loud. The only time I don't hear it is when I'm in 6th gear. I decided that my beautiful new ride was going to get plenty of attention from the cops, so the last thing I wanted was a little too much more attention.

The Touring still gets pretty loud every now and then, so i can't imagine what it would have been like if I had gone with the Sport or the amazing sound of the Magna.

The S Type is much louder at idle. It is right on the edge of being obnoxious for me. No noticeable drone but it is loud everywhere. At 60-70 on the highway it is considerably louder than stock (3.73s). I'd prefer it to be a little quieter but it does sound nice. I actually feel bad for my neighbors at cold start in the morning. Only have about 100 miles on it with the S Type right now.
Lol I work at fed ex on grave yard shift and I'm not looking for anything LOUD but I do want a huge improvement over stock I have flowmasters on my 3v and I rate them like a 4 or 5 out of 10 for loud idle and loudness period what would u rate the stype like a 7?? That's way to loud if so lol I need like a solid 5 or 6

The battle between FRPP Sport and the FRPP Touring is never ending for me. Really want to find out which hits that sweet spot volume wise of being loud enough to really hear but not loud enough to anger the neighbors or get unwanted attention from police. Seems like every damn street has a speed trap on it right now, I have a 7 mile commute and passed three today. Problem is half the people say the Touring is surprisingly loud and they're glad they didn't get anything more aggressive. Then I read about people saying the pretty much the same thing about the Sport, that it is not overly loud as to get unwanted attention.

my only complaint about the sport is it isn't loud enough if that means anything. gonna switch to xpipe+roush quads or corsa extreme quads (if they ever come out) eventually.

What would be louder in terms of volume, Borla S Type catback or the MBRP Street Series catback?

I just heard the corsa xtreme in person for the first time. Sounds really, really good. And I've always been a fan of the more traditional muscle car/h-pipe sound. It's just as loud as my setup and doesn't get distorted whatsoever in the higher RPMs. Nor was it as high pitched as I was expecting. So, so many choices.....

For those of you who've done the Resonator Delete how loud is your exhaust??? I'm interested in moding mine but here in Germany I can not exceed 98Db @1500 RPM's or it won't pass inspection...

I just did mine on Friday, removed resonator, and added an X-pipe, don't really notice much difference....here's the video I took of the cold start after the delete...
