My Roush AB with the MRT h pipe resonator delete sounds pretty loud when you get on it . It's a great sound in my opinion it's not super annoying but it's there alright

So can anybody rate all the after market exhaust from quiet to loud. I am guessing the axel backs are the quietest? I am looking for some thing just over the the stock volume.

I would go with something like this. Actually pretty quiet if you keep your right foot off the floor.

Yeah this combo is loud, hopefully at the meet later this month I can hear some of the oter setups to compare. The CJPP video did say that this was the loudest setup the person has heard.

I've got the S-Type Catback and it is loud. Very much in fact. Now, I'm coming from a VW family so I'm used to a certain volume. I love the S-Type system, but wow is it ever loud.

I agree 100%. I just installed the S-type on my performance pack GT and it is quite loud. You'll never forget it's there. It's exactly the volume level and sound I was going for though so all is well.

How would the FRPP Sport (by borla) sound compared to the exhaust systems noted above? I believe CJ Pony Parts said the Borla S-type was louder.

Surprisingly my Roush Axlebacks got quieter while cruising honestly they might be even quieter than the stock exhaust! They are still aggressive and loud under heavy acceleration but damn quiet on the highway! Just got back from a 400 mile round trip and i can say that this is the exhaust to go! By the way i averaged 25.5 mpg on 91 octane fuel cruise set to 71 mph

Hey Bud - I love my Roush as well:cheers:. I have not done hardly any highway driving since getting my Roush so I cannot comment on the quietness while driving on the highways.

Installed the Roush axle back on my otherwise stock Performance Package GT (3.73 gear), and also agree that they are quieter than stock at average highway speeds (55-70mph). They are much louder than stock at start-up, have a DEEP (and arguably quieter than stock with windows up) rumble at idle, are louder than stock at sustained speeds above 70mph, and absolutely howl under hard acceleration at any speed. Overall, I'm "mostly" satisfied after a couple days around town and a 150 mile road trip, but do wish the idle volume was louder.

They do sound good under full acceleration!

I've heard that the American Thunder axle back is nice and deep and not too much louder than stock. That's what I'm going with if my car ever gets here.

I have the ARH H-pipe catback, and I think that it sounds super sweet at idle and up to around 3500-4000 rpms. After that it doesnt really get much louder. It a great dd catback.

Updated impressions after close to 400 miles with the Roush axle back. This setup is awesome! I can't explain "why," but it seems to be getting deeper and louder than the first couple days on the car, even with casual cruising around town. The note on deceleration literally makes me grin. With the 3.73's, the exhaust note completely disappears at certain rpm's, but doesn't drone at any rpm up through 5k (hardest I've ran it, so far). It sounds incredibly sweet with the windows down and makes me want to drive anywhere just to hear it sing.
