Has anyone found a tune or know a tune that would allow for a crackle map? Most other turbo fours on the market have a crackle map tune. Some even allow them to be deactivated in normal drive modes. I think stratified has one but not sure if it was a custom one or if its standard option.

This is purely a shot in the dark, but maybe reach out to Torrie @ Unleashed Tuning and ask him. Can't hurt.

A feature in V8 tuning called DFCO is active at full pedal deceleration. This can be shut off in tunes so that there is a popping sound in the exhaust at decel. The acronym stands for Deceleration Fuel Cut Off. Speak to your tuner and see if he.she is familiar with this and find out if it can be deactivated so that the car continually targets Lambda 1 during decel rather than the exhaust going full lean minimizing this (and saving fuel) durign deceleration. It is also a form of engine braking. The tune on my 17 I just purchased has this deactivated to give the car that old school carb decel sound. I hate it personally and am in the process of having DFCO reactivated for smoother exhaust note on decel. Hope this helps when speaking to your tuner of choice on the matter assuming it would also apply to I-4's.

Stratified Tuning has it for the Ecoboost Mustang, but they only offer a custom tune for the Ecoboost Mustang. I have the tune from Stratified, (love the tune) with the Crackles and Pops. I love it, sounds very organic, never the same every time you lift of the pedal. So never gets boring. You can get it to backfire playing with pedal, and while you are parked. It does not shoot flames. You need a high flow or no cat set up, with no resonator and high flow mufflers to get the best out of it.
