After hearing one on Sunday I have decided on fitting a Borla ATAK to my car.

They come in 2.5" and 3" pipe diameter.

I know the larger diameter pipe is recommended for forced induction cars but would their be any noticeable difference running the 3" version on a NA car?

Also any recommendations on the best place to get it from.

Thanks
Ian

noticeable? my guess based on no experience would be none other than more expensive and would require an additional adaptor to either be bought or fabricated to connect it to the stock Cat.

JWR seems cheapest at the moment for these.

No need for a 3" pipe on anything other than a highly modified forced induction Mustang.

Exhaust note may be deeper? I’ve had a couple of 3ā€ systems and they’ve both given a noticeably deeper note than 2.5ā€. May be coincidence but the general consensus seems to be wider = deeper.

I have Borla S type Cat back.. sw [email protected] prices
Or Dave at GT101 in Colchester if u want it fitted etc.,
I’ve just had a Ford Performance Borla Active Exhaust, centre X pipe and GT350 rear valance from Guy @ Nemesis in Bromsgrove. I believe I’m the first in the UK to have his set up, but happy to be corrected if I’m wrong !

Took a while to be shipped but despite that I can’t fault Guy and his service. Fitment is spot on no issues at all, only issue was the USA instructions wiring colours were different to UK spec. Again Guy came to reduce with info and this was quickly resolved.

The active system is brilliant and I’m chuffed to bits with it. The ā€˜quiet’ mode is marginally louder than I was antipating but not excessive and a good tone. The loud mode is unreal it sounds amazing but is very loud. I love it.

The only gripe I have is the system always defaults to Loud mode on start up so I have to switch to quiet every morning to avoid annoying neighbours.

that would drive me insane!! surely you can set the default?? after all the early morning start up is 75% of the reason for an active exhaust....? :frusty:

Would you mind divulging how much you paid for the GT350 valance? It's on my shopping list :)
