Do you think the Touring System (swapping out the X pipe for the H pipe from Borla) would eliminate the humming noise or just make it quieter at open throttle and acceleration?
It'll quiet the humming but not that much, and quieter under acceleration.

Drone-free rumble with either our Touring Edition Axle-back or Cat-back systems
Yes, although it is drone free there is a big boomy cabin noise and if the OP is already having a hard time with the Borlas then this would be worse.

The Borla S type is pretty tame in cabin when i heard it but we werent doing 70 on the highway, just cruising around 50 or so. When foot was added you could hear it def though. There was a small hum that was slightly louder than normal but i would say is easily drowned out by speaking or the radio. I mean now at 5k miles even my stock exhaust now has a hum at highway cruising.

Trust me, adding the Borla resonator will not help. I've been through all of that.

what was your experience with the Borla resonator? Did it not reduce the noise/hum factor?

Go back to factory exhaust. If you want it rumble, but not loud that'd be the way you seem to lean. Exhaust has a lot of personal preference to it.

There are exhausts available that are only loud when you really get into the pedal. I was reminded of that again today when I drove my friend's with the Xtreme catback. Both of our cars can be very tame inside the car if asked (via the pedal) or at anytime when cruising. Both can be quite loud when desired, too. A good percentage of available exhausts will have constant tone inside despite being no drone. Many people are ok with that, some are less so.

I had the Borla Touring catback, and I swapped the Borla resonator to the stock resonator, leaving the touring mufflers in place. It sounded the exact same. Same interior noise, same 2k drone.

Possibly a slight reduction, but honestly not much at all.

Can confirm the same thing. The only difference between the Borla resonator and stock resonator appears to be weight. No sound difference at all.

I definitely don't want to go back to stock.. I think the stock resonator really kills the experience, restricts power and adds weight....I love the sound. and want the muscle car feel.it is just the ambient noise at hwy speeds that is really getting to me..

Thanks for all of your input.. would you say that the Corsa has an "always on" tone..even at hwy speeds in 5/6th at low rpm? Or is it the exception? I've heard that the Corsa is extremely quiet when cruising and on hwy at constant speed (ie cruise control). I drove mine again today and in town it was fine and I was able to keep the cabin quiet,,, but on the hwy is a different story....at times I was able to regulate/quiet the sounds on the highway, but not always and it took some concentrated effort with the pedal to keep it from making noise... and I am talking about more than just a light hum... at times it was that drumming/chewbaca sound it makes when you get on the throttle.. My dynamat is due to arrive the end of this week and I am super anxious to see if that calms down the drumming coming from the back...

you may have answered this before, but what are you running now for exhaust?

I changed to the Corsa Touring axle back.

And I can tell you that it sounds similar to the Borla in tone, just slightly more quiet, and less aggressive.

Interior noise is there, but it is drastically lower than the Borla. It does have the slightest bit of drone at 2k, but it's barely noticeable. It's right where it should be, there if I listen for it, but it's not always on like the Borla.

I had issues with bad clamps and a longggggg process to fixing it, but I'm not messing with exhaust again. I'm staying with the Corsa.

No it doesn't have the 'always on' tone when cruising. I don't even hear the exhaust on the highway unless I give it over 1/4 throttle. Even then it's just a subtle, little roar from behind me with the windows up. At heavier than/at 1/4 throttle, there is no engine speed where the exhaust has any drone (I've tried 6th gear from 1000 rpm all the way up and nothing at all). No drumming, no humming.

I've stated this multiple times: my car is quieter on the highway than stock when cruising, and only louder when I downshift and get on it. Removing the sound tube definitely helps with that too. Windows down, driving around: totally different ballgame. It's rip-roaring and fairly loud, but again you just hear the exhaust tone coming from behind the car.

2 questions:
1. so what are you running in front of the axle back? do you have the stock resonator and pipes?
2. when you said bad clamps.. are you talking about the Ford Factory clamps? My understanding is that most after market exhausts use the existing hangers and clamps. are you talking about the clamps up by the headers?

thanks... that is what I thought. If the Borla doesn't work out i will most likely go with the Corsa Sport Cat Back.. now I know that is different from your AB setup. There is the double X pipe.. but from what I am hearing from others who have the Catback it is a similar story.. I imagine that the MF TruX might give it a more deeper muscle car tone than the X pipe that comes with the CorsaCat Back....
