Not sure if you pulled the trigger yet. But I have roush axle backs right now. My x-pipe will be here Monday and I hope to install it that night. I'll definitely report back.

I've always preferred X pipe setups myself. They give a more exotic sound IMO.

I went to a Corsa catback so I have an FRPP X pipe(about 200 miles on it) for sale if you're interested.

And I have the ford xpipe and my Roush will be here tomorrow. I don't want a loud system but apparently this is one of the loudest. I hope its manageable when just cruising and pulling out from lights etc...

That's what I've been reading and hearing. This isn't my daily driver, so it's not that big of a deal to me. You can always go to a muffler shop later on and add resonators.

Anyone just deleted the resonator and only added an H pipe?

I have a CJ Pony 2.5" H-pipe coming in 2 days. $120. This will connect to my stock tailpipes/mufflers. I have headers so I'm going to buy 3" to 2.5" reducers to eliminate the 2" factory connect portion. The suitcase resonator isn't robbing power as it is a straight-through design but I want to reduce the heat and weight in that area. The potential choke point is the 3" to 2" factory connect from those headers.

Got everything set up on my car. Definitely loud. Might be too much for some people. But I'm very happy. Has a very sophisticated sound, which suits these engines in my opinion. I've only has it up 65ish cruising. Drone isn't bad at all. It acts the same as before, but louder. Overall, I'm happy.

I did as well and yes its is loud but sounds really good. It's funny because I only wanted a little louder than stock but the xpipe wasn't quite enough. I can manage the sound if I need to but overall people will know a mustang is nearby. I haven't noticed any drone with the xpipe and it's almost quiet when just light cruising. If you rev it or put heavy load on it though watch out lol. I wonder if I put the suitcase back in will there be any difference? I don't wanna lose to much sound because she idles like nobody's business!

Actually, what about a louder idle but not much louder when driving?
I want a more aggressive idle.

are all these H-Pipes, X-Pipes created equal. I saw a corsa one that was a double x-pipe but aside from that they all generally look the same...prices just seem to be all over the place.
Do the Corsa double X pipe.... Think you will get the sound you want!

I have stock exhaust with a CJ Pony Parts h-pipe. The car is quite a bit louder and sounds more like a classic muscle car, which is what I was going for. I have gotten some compliments on how it sounds.

Hard to have one, without the other, unless you have dual mode exhaust. Mine is much louder idle and driving.
