Well we know that the Borla is audible above 2k so that's BS.

But again, some guys think open headers aren't that loud, lol
Bodam, the video from corsa I posted above is about as good as it gets for capturing the sound. I haven't heard any others that are close, even the American muscle one. Most mics don't pick up low frequencies very well.

That's the best video of the Corsa, it sounds perfect in that clip. I'm just worried about cabin sound levels. I just wish I could ride in a car with one installed.

Either way, I think i've made up my mind to get rid of the Borla and move forward with something. Either the Corsa touring axle back, or simply just install the res delete again.

Bodam, I was in the same place as you a few months ago. I ran the Borla touring for about a month, found it too loud in the cabin (but about perfect outside the car). I swapped back to the stock resonator and just ran the Borla mufflers as an S-type axle back. It was maybe a decibel or 2 quieter inside the car, so effectively no different. I ran that setup for about a year before I said screw it and bought a Corsa touring axleback.

I am now exactly where I want to be. Definitely louder than stock, but quieter than Borla inside the car during throttle input, but literally stock quiet when cruising between 1500-2500 rpm. The higher pitch/exotic tones took some getting used to and I still prefer a deeper tone, but the interior volume level more than makes up for it. I've actually come to really like the Corsa sound, especially when I cross about 2500 rpm with the windows down. It goes from a mild rumble to a decently loud roar with a tone that I can't quite describe, but makes me smile. I can try to get some videos this weekend for you.

Good info, I'm seriously leaning towards the Corsa Touring axle back now...

See the post by scoggy_doogan above. You'll have little to no exhaust sound when cruising at constant speed. When you get on the throttle it'll be just a nice little bark behind you but not loud at all inside the car with the windows up. You can hear it, unlike stock, but it's never intrusive. With the windows down you'll be able to hear it come to life, but again, not objectionable at any point. Just...nice. As most find when they get these systems: the throttle is your volume knob. The utter lack of any resonance and the feeling of the exhaust sound coming from behind you rather than filling up the whole car is awesome, in the most literal sense of the word.

I recommend the Corsa Touring, being that its uses the Sport muffler it carries with it the same pedigree Corsa sound just tamed down some as BmacIL points out.
Plus as you mention if you decide you want more volume you've got an h-pipe waiting in the wings.....
does the corsa touring come in a catback? all I can find is an Axle Back...

another question.. if I purchased a corsa touring axle back system... if I did not want to use my stock resonator... is there another resonator that you would recommend? The borla resonator.. would that work?? Or should I just go with the corsa sport catback?

You should be able to use any resonator with the stock axle piping. The axle back is 3" and looks like it has adapters to neck down to 2.5"

My plan is to install the touring axle back with stock resonator, and if its too quiet (which i doubt) I will install my h-pipe

My stock system is all cut and patched anyways, so installing the h-pipe back is easy at this point.

I would highly recommend this to replace the resonator:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80029

I have this in place of the stock resonator with my sport axleback and love it. Definitely a better tone than the resonator but without increasing volume much. It will add just a bit once it breaks in.

All that said, the Corsa Sport catback really isn't that loud. Everyone will know you're there when you really get it on it, but it will also be quite subdued when you're easy on the throttle. If your concern is interior volume and you're ok with a mid level volume on the outside, the full catback is fantastic. Same benefits of being quiet like stock at cruise and very tame overall on the inside. It's about half the volume inside with the windows up compared to the S-type. My setup is nearly identical volume compared to the Sport catback, with just a little bit different tone (closer to Xtreme tone).

Corsa touring is just an axleback. The Corsa sport catback is the touring mufflers with their double X pipe.

I can see how the S-Type catback may be too loud for some. If this was my daily driver i think it'd probably get to me over time and would of gone with the Touring. American Muscle was dead on in there review. they advised in there YouTube video it's a possible 4/5 on the wake the neighbors scale.
