If you are worried about cabin noise get the Corsa Sports. They are almost stock quiet when cruising and when not being hard on the gas.
With the sound tube removed, I actually find it quieter than stock cruising on the highway.

Have you done that bodam?

They are quiet for sure that's why i got rid of them heheh. The main reason im speding $1000+ on an exhaust system is to make my car louder. With the Corsa Sport i found myself accelerating harder just to hear it more.

See, I love the almost dual-mode nature of the system and it's plenty loud for me when I want it to be. I also like the more racy wail as opposed to the deep thrum.

Well sheesh, that was the last easy lever to pull

I've heard and driven the Borlas and they do sound very nice. I'm not sure why yours drones still but I know that the interior volume is significant, and is always able to be heard even at constant speed on the highway. I've not been inside a car with the AWE touring, so I have no true reference point as to how well it attenuates that, but in general the deeper the exhaust, the more you're going to hear it inside. Sound deadening is much more effective for higher frequencies like road and tire noise, wind noise. SoCalTim and JuRuKi have both had the Corsa and AWE systems. I believe in his review, Tim mentioned that it has more interior volume, but that's what he wanted because it was deeper. Everyone has their own thresholds for what they like/accept, though.

At this point, I might just go back to h-pipe res delete and stock mufflers :(

Don't confuse drone vs exhaust sound :)

You will indeed hear the rich muscle tone produced by our configurations in the background at part throttle, but there's no drone -- no discomfort at cruising speeds (even part throttle up a steady incline). Hands-free calls are 100% functional and able to be had. Drone is volume and frequency that crosses that threshold of comfort.

We guarantee no drone or your money back.

Oh I'm not. There's a very distinct difference. Hearing a rumble coming from behind you is very different than a boomy resonance all over the inside of the car (drone). I've heard both, and the latter is very uncomfortable (gave me headaches for a while on my first catback setup).

I recommend you put in the Borla front muffler (=resonator). It is a direct swap with your X-pipe, so no cutting. It will reduce the volume by 6db (=half). And it will reduce drone, because that's what front mufflers do.

I plan to do the same with my system, bc the fiance wants it quieter for upcoming vacation, when we will have the back seats folded down. But I can swap the X-pipe back in after we return.

Note that I had my system with the Borla front muffler before I bought the X-pipe, so yes I have experienced both variations.

I am pretty sure my issue is exhaust noise and not drone, but I've never had an after market exhaust or even a sports car.. this is my first one... I've been driving toyota corollas, minivans and small suv's for the past 20+ years raising kids... road noise was the biggest factor with cabin noise... that is why I am going to have my peformance guy test drive the car tomorrow night to determine exactly what I am hearing.. I dont think it is drone, but will know more tomorrow....

thanks for the input!.... as I mentioned I will see how it goes with the sound dampening and I will have the Borla resonator ready in case....maybe I will even install it for a while to see the differenes between the two and decide from there....

Drone you feel, not just hear. It is uncomfortable. If you're hearing the sound of the exhaust all around you, you're getting some sort of resonance. A well-engineered exhaust will have sound distinctly coming from behind you. If you want truly quiet on the highway, Corsa is where it's at. No louder than stock at constant speed (to me quieter actually), and even when you give it a little gas going up a hill it's just barely there. It comes alive when you downshift and get on it, though.
