Hi,

I posted this in the Aussie section but thought I'd also post it here for extra feedback.
I'm experiencing some excessive wear on the outside of my rear tyres compared to the inside edges, see picture. I was told by one source that this fairly normal on Mustangs but I'm not too sure.
Is this something that can be correct via the standard rear alignment process or do I need to install some other correction kit in order to achieve even wear?

The front is perfect for wear and steering.

How many miles on the tires, and how old
are they?

The fine cracking on the tread looks nasty

In addition to the above questions what psi/bar are you running the tires at? Also what is your camber? Are you tracking these tires at all?

More negative camber for outside wear. But it appears like the center wear is high as well, so less tire pressure too.

It might be a good idea to take care of the finishing nail in your tire on the right side of your first picture.

Regardless, something about your alignment if off. You need to have it corrected.

The tyres have done around 18,000 ks. They're the Pirelli standard rears.

I run them at 32psi cold. I have no idea what the camber is but with the excessive wear on the outside I'm guessing that it's hellishly positive. Car isn't tracked.

I dug it out and it was a small screw that only went about 3-4mm into the tread.
