Next up - Magnetic mustang found without an interior ragged into a lamp post after service tech decides to go doing skids in the snow....I jest - but i always fear this, same with it going for work anywhere so it always gets the low throttle map/speed sensitive map put on so that it can't be driven hard. One time the cars actually been needed for a test drive and I've gone with the tech and drve the car (for the clunk if anyone remembers)This thread comes at a good time for me...the day after I say to the dealership "yea, you can move my Mustang somewhere else so it's under cover"
I trust these guys tho...but still, you gotta wonder what on earth goes through these peoples heads, seems to be no sense of "oh maybe this is wrong" or "isn't this a bit disrespectful"
Frustrating to see
"sorry ford asked us to write the car off, the fixes will cost too much, here's your money back"Makes you wonder how a dealer would attempt to handle a situation where one of their techs had done considerable damage to your car...obviously merely fixing it isn't good enough.
Guildford unplugged my dashcam. Hungerford didn't.This thread comes at a good time for me...the day after I say to the dealership "yea, you can move my Mustang somewhere else so it's under cover"

In the back of the workshop is a smashed up mustang.
And how much money exactly? Current market value is no use...And what it was your heavily modded car? A guess a simple here's your money back wouldn't really cut it?
I've just checked in the manual. Valet mode just seems to lock Sync 3. My Key allows you set speed limits but the lowest available is 65mph according to this page. For those of you that are worried about leaving your cars for service and then being taken for a "test drive". I was under the impression that the 'Ford My-key' could be programmed by the owner to 'valet mode' with a pass code. Not tried it myself.
As far as i'm aware its designed to limit usage by (for example) your kids. I can't believe that Ford don't have a way round it.I've just checked in the manual. Valet mode just seems to lock Sync 3. My Key allows you set speed limits but the lowest available is 65mph according to this page.

I think the last people to know a way round it would be Ford technicians. After all, they seem to know f&ÂŁ# all else about the car.As far as i'm aware its designed to limit usage by (for example) your kids. I can't believe that Ford don't have a way round it.
