Nice audio! ..... liking the new digital dash too. Active exhaust, Magneride, more power - sounds like you can spec up a car this time and not have to worry about any faffing about with after-market add-ons - fantastic. Shame we're missing out on a few horses again. Wonder if we'll get the promised-but-never-appeared official performance packages for the MY18? 20-30bhp increase and maintain warranty would be a nice little present to look forward to :clap2:.
There's always room for modding. Part of the addiction of owning a Mustang.

Also, as Gibbo mentioned earlier, we will be down a few ponies compared to the States, but if you don't mind going down the tuning route (when ever that may be available), our benefit increase will be even more the the US as we should get back the original 16 hp + whatever the additional hp the tune gives us :headbang:

Tuning the S550.2 for me is very simple, panel filter, headers and tune. I will be happy with just doing that. Shall be very interesting to compare the 0-100 times with Mac's supercharged beast to see what this MY18 can do acceleration wise, I am hoping sub 8s to 100mph which for an NA tuned big heavy GT car is moving pretty well. Mac's best is currently 7.4s which is hugely impressive as thats with a stick shift, would probably be in the 6s region with an automatic rowing the gears faster. What helps the MY18 is its ability to launch better, clearly evident from the fact it can dispatch 60 in sub 4s with the ten speeder.

(I swear the MY15-17 doesn't have that tracking, nor did my 2011 corsa... I'm gonna sit tonight turning the 2011 fiesta in the garage over and seeing if it winks now... I may have on my hands a naughty set of cars giving me the eye :lol::lol:)

The UK price of the '17 was increased quite rapidly at the end of it's sales cycle. I suspect the '18 may actually be a few ÂŁ's cheaper than the final price of the '17. It would make for great reviews and easy marketing.
No chance! You're being very optimistic, can't see how a technically improved car with more features will be cheaper than the outgoing model

I have to admit to not being a Mustang addict, I'm afraid. I would rather just buy a car that I didn't need to mess with, especially if it's a road car - and if I then had the option to tune with a few simple changes and a re-map that maintained warranty, that would be a bonus. A tune would get it a MY18 to what .... a comfortable 460-470bhp? Plenty fast enough for the road.

Gibbo, speaking of plenty fast enough for the road, I got the re-mapped ECU fitted to the M3 yesterday. Only got 3 things to say .... FAN .... TAS ..... TIC! Pulls relentlessly to the redline now - don't know about 5th or 6th, flat in 4th was way too fast for the road! .... not that I would drive like that of course, I was just speculating

Well current Mustang:

- Canned tune: 410 to 440HP
- Custom tune: 410 to 450-460HP

MY18:
- Canned tune: 444HP to 475HP
- Custom tune: 444HP to 500HP

Is what you can expect, spec it with magneride and the MY18 should be a pretty decent handling car out the box without the issues the current car had as not confirmed but it is believe that a few of the rubber bushing out back were also replaced for spherical on MY18 and it also has thicker anti-roll bars too over outgoing MY15 PP car. So in theory it should be a very capable GT out the box without the issues many of us here had to address with MY15.

No idea what your M3 weighs, but in mine with CSL ECU, remap, 3:91 diff and weight reduction it accelerates fast in 6th, I've being 180+ off the clock in 6th and it was still pulling, private road of course. I am in the M3 right now such a weapon to be honest it is why the M2 CS has perked my interest to be honest too. 405HP in a light weight small car and its a de-tuned M4 engine so a map would be good for just shy of 500HP with huge torque, can see it being quite a little monster, just sounds poop.

If you do diff in yours, drop a 4:10 in it, I went 3:91 thinking I'd have traction issues, but the truth is I have none, so could of easily put a 4:10 in and would of done so in hindsight, acceleration would be bonkers. I run 255/40/18 MPSS all round by the way, the bigger wall helps hugely with traction.

Would love to have seen Magnetic at the show. Haven't seen that on any of the show cars, even in the US.

Looks fantastic here :headbang:

I've got say magnetic works best with the new wheels, it all just is like it was meant to be. I think to be honest the magnetic with the polished forged wheels is the best looking Mustang they've done, it just has class about it, more of an Aston Martin look than MY15 was, which there is nothing wrong with.

But I have my heart set of orange fury, which does not work as well with those wheels but I think I will still go with those wheels to either sell to an MY15 owner or to simply add a dark clear coat to work better with the orange.

Agreed.

For me, Orange Fury needs black wheels/roof/mirrors.....same as I'd do to the likes of Grabber Blue.

But, "out of the box", Magnetic works beautifully.

Keep your current light weight wheels for the fury. They will looks immense on orange with dark mirrors and roof with gt350 spoiler. Failing that project6gr 7 spokes in black would work too ;)

I'm getting project6gr 7's in titanium finish when the wife lets me...

Haha yes my wheel options shall be:
- Ford polished ones as in photo (unless Ford want an insane price then I shall just do custom pack 2 instead)
- My current multi spokes
- Project 6GR 5 spokes in that titanium finish. :)

But yes 100% painted black roof, painted black mirrors, GT 350 track wing. Not messing with wraps the quality of finish can't match paint. I then want to get a nice hood for it as I've decided I quite dislike the MY18 hood, I dislike how its loss power bulge and the vents to me look a bit tacky, it just looks a bit too tame. Needs a shouty hood with a big bulge or massive air vent of somekind. The bumper though I really like and I will probably just paint the bottom half all black. Of course I shall see what Shelby, Roush, Saleen, Cervini all have to offer as well and might just convert whole front-end.

Stripes probably won't bother.

Won't be spending as much on go faster parts, Filter, remap, headers get it all done for under 2k I reckon so the money can go on making it look a bit naughty. This one is gonna be full on you being tango'd unlike the current old man magnetic edition. :D

Brakes be biggest expense, got my heart set on the GT 350 brakes and shall re-paint them Lumia orange as seen on P1 to give them a bit more flare/pop behind the wheels.

I was going to go lightning blue, silver offset stripes and black wheels but I've changed my mind already. Now going for

Race Red 5.0 V8 Manual Fastback
Ebony leather
Custom Pack 4 i.e. The black window surround and "starfish" forged silver wheels
MagneRide
Large Spoiler
Offset MY18 silver stripe
