It was only a few weeks ago you didn't give a shit about the underseal. Out of site out of mind was the comment
However I then removed the exhaust and saw how bad it was - also the talk of a TSB came around. I think if you pull back all of my comments it was that I'm not paying sh1t for underseal, if ford have a recall i'll get it done now there's talk of a recall (TSB) i'll pursue it.
If there is no TSB, I still won't get it done

Yes and no at the same time. I by all means agree with every single one of your points, however, it's a warranty claim, why? Because there was intent to underseal these cars, the underseal hasn't been done to a satisfacoty standard, and also hasn't been done to a standard the protects the underbody of the car like it should.
The warranty is there to replace things that go wrong. The underseal hasn't gone wrong. It's just not there. Which goes back to the point about being legally obliged to provide it; they're not.

What I was getting at was if Ford decide not to do it, what are you going to argue? There's no minimum requirement, legal or otherwise, for underseal. There is no benchmark for you to be able to say that the job on the Mustang needs to be corrected at their expense.

Like I said, I've already had mine done but I'll be interested if someone posts the notice up on here.

What exactly IS a TSB anyway since it differs from a recall? I'm guessing it's something to be done if the customer brings it up?

Apparently, a TSB is:-
Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) are recommended steps and procedures for repairing vehicles. A TSB is issued by Ford when there is a growing trend with an unanticipated problems, but does not warrant a recall.

I would read that as if the customer doesn't mention it, then don't bring it up! :D
I think you are right. I've just completed a long online survey initiated by a letter from Ford which allowed for comments on transmission noises, paint, dealers and underseal so we'll see if anything comes of it.

Well, i've had my dealership lookup all the TSBs for the car, none of them mention underseal apparently... That's according to the bloke.

He said a 'Tsb was issued yesterday but we cannot disclose what for' and 'A TSB is issued when people complain and/or ford realises there's a problem'
I was speaking to Chami (??) the head of ford service.

I will tomorrow be putting a call into the warranty and repairs team, and I will be voicing the as myself, however will also be voicing said opinion with the backing that 50 other mustangs at least have complained about this issue.

Centurion07 Sorry, Well, maybe not a warranty claim, but it's on odd grounds, they've intended to put underseal there, they've just done it badly and missed pannels - which makes me believe that is has gone wrong (or been applied wrongly).
ANYWAY - The head of the service dept said that all the pannels are coated in an anti-rusting agent and fords have been for years, I replied with even cars built in America to which he said 'I do not know' to which I followed with - which is why they've aimed to attempt to underseal and he replied 'theres no TSB for it' to which I said 'Yeah but it's been done to a shocking standard' and he said 'So has everyone elses' - Hense why i'm going up a level to Ford Centrally (Not just for myself, but on behalf of the others here - i'll report back later tomorrow!)

That's correct, a TSB is when a customer says 'I have X wrong with my vehicle' ford go 'Yep known problem let me fix that'.

My dealership wouldn't tell me the TSB that came out 'yesterday' because 'it probably doesnt effect your vehicle' --- Hmm...

If Ford do issue a recall for this I shall obviously be taking my car in. I shall also be leaving them a copy of Centurions photos from Modurstang to show them the level of workmanship that I will be expecting

3 cans,, this is for the whole underneath
tells dealer to take out wheel arch liners and pods under car to do this and mask up exhaust and driveshaft and brakes etc
its quite detailed
also can of wax ' like waxoyl. which is to be sprayed into all cavities including doors and bonnet
