We got an email last night (Thursday) from Ford saying that our car arrived at the dock, too bad we picked up from the dealer in Sydney on Wednesday afternoon after it was sent through Melbourne.....or maybe we have another car coming :D
Technically it was correct, it had arrived at the dock, it had also progressed beyond the dock into your own driveway, but hey, better late than never!

So turns out i was given the wrong NSC code and VIN number a few months ago.

Had confirmation from my dealer today that my car was at the docks awaiting to be placed on a ship. My car was built on the 7th of April after originally being told end of May (with the incorrect VIN). I confirmed this after asking for the VIN number and checking ETIS. Fair to say I'm pretty stoked!

Nice! We will likely be boat mates! Few of us from early April waiting there now. Be interesting which ship we get on.

Hopefully I won't be far behind you guys.My car was built on 11th April and got to the port yesterday (21st April ) as confirmed by my dealer and Deysha
Hoping to be on the Figaro departing on 7th May or the Talisman departing 18th May
Last week I was given an ETA of 9th July into Melbourne
As my car got to the port relatively quickly though I am hoping to possibly make the Figaro for 7th May departure. This is all conjecture of course but it's good fun theorising
I need a life badly..........

Magnetic GT Convertible delivered 19 July 2016
Update from Deysha overnight, the 17 May date is arrival at Baltimore, not delivery!
Just went into production too apparently
Surely then mid-July in Melbourne is a possibility. Cos you know, you need a convertible in winter in Melbourne!

It's a funny turn of events when a screw up by Ford ends up making a customer happy

my car was also built on the 11th April and got to the port on the 18th. I enquired what ship it was going to be on and when it would depart and received the following reply.
" Generally your Mustang will take about 4 weeks to board for the journey. It will now enter quarantine, be treated with anti-corrosive, be detailed and packaged up and have the paperwork completed so it is able to be transported to Australia. The only tracking numbers that we will use is the NSC and VIN. Please feel free to message us back in 3 weeks and we will be happy to see if there has been a vessel assigned. Thanks FordService^CZ".
I received the message on the 18th April, 4 weeks from that date is the 16th May so the Talisman looks like a possibility on the 18th.

My assembly was March 22 and I'm still waiting for a boat!
There's the 4 weeks so let's hope I get a ticket soon!
Any news Kaps?

Nah mate, Salome is now scheduled to arrive at Baltimore on 29th, instead of 27th, which was later changed to 28th.
I am guessing we will see some action happening tomorrow or latest by Monday. Fingers crossed. :D

It will be interesting to see who gets on. Yours was built a week after mine, and it was sent to the docks before mine.

Now that they are both at the docks I wonder if we end up on the same boat or if one gets on sooner than the other.

Yeh mate, I feel sorry for what they did to your car. Hope they some how compensate for the stuff up and push your car to this boat. May be this couple of days delay will help you get on this boat. I will be happy to see your car on this boat. Cheers :)
