Got my VIN today so looked up the Window Sticker and the blend says 120160804.

Does that mean it was built 4th August?
Where did you look this up?
Got my VIN last week and only got Biuld date 30.11.0002 on FordEtis.
Ford confirmed production was in August but no exact date.

I keep getting this on Research Maniacs Window Sticker Link.
Please check back later.
The window sticker has not yet been
released for this vehicle

Deysha from Ford says this link and access does not work anymore!

Yes they say will not leave the plant on rail till they have a full load to transport which may take up to 30 days.

Hey mate, I looked it up on the Research maniacs site.

http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Ford.html

Make sure you have correctly put the VIN in as I left out a letter and then got the same message.

Hope you have better luck with another attempt :search::mullet:

Mine had similar info, I don't think that date means anything to us. The window sticker seems to show up a week or so out from your build. Check tomorrow (Saturday) as they usually update it on Friday US time I believe. At least, that's how it worked for me. Mine was built on August 5.
You won't see anything show up on the window sticker until your build is close to a week away.

Shevs550 Mine was built only a day after yours! Ours will be sharing a boat I reckon. Check the ford ETIS website. If yours is built, you will have the full list of options on the car.

Yours was built the same day as FIXR7

Looks like the 3 of us will be boat buddies!

Hi OZDAZ5.0 what part of this whole process hasn't been slooooooowww? Ha Ha! Your comment has moved me to finally post, I've been a very long time lurking here! I placed my order the same time as you and mine was built on the 20th of July. As of Monday Ford Service inform me it is still sitting in Flat Rock!!! I'm really hoping it is on a train with your car, from where did you "hear" yours was released. was it Ford Service?
I've been patiently waiting this past year, not bothering Ford or my dealer, who indicated a possible July delivery then saying it would be September 1st. However ever since getting my vin and then confirmation of it being built, I CAN'T STAND the wait any more and not knowing what's going on!!
Rant over. Thanks to all for the great info on this Forum.
Cheers Danny

I'd encourage you to bother your dealer. :D

At the end of the day they are to provide a service for you and to help with reasonable requests.

I had to ask my dealer multiple times to get the VIN, but it's ok, ask enough nicely and you'll eventually get an answer

Hi David, I visit my dealer regularly to get other vehicles seviced there, but they know less about the whole process than the people here!! and the Sales Manager there is a great bloke and a petrol head and a true mustang Fan Boy, so it indicates to me how little info they get from Ford. I got my vin from Ford Facebook when my dealer coudn't supply it!!!

It really amazes me at how little the Dealers actually know. My latest experience with my dealer has left me perplexed as I have had excellent service with the previous 2 Rangers I've bought through them. I'm pretty certain this Mustang will be my last purchase from them and I will no longer be recommending them.

5 days after PrixCar had delivered our Mustang to our Dealer in Brisbane we get a phone call from the pre-delivery girl to tell us our car is definitely off the docks but didn't know if the car was in their yard a couple of suburbs over, already at the their dealership or on a truck somewhere in between but it was definitely off the docks and we can expect delivery sometime next week. Meanwhile some lucky people in Sydney had already taken delivery of their Mustangs which were on the same ship as ours 2-3 days before this conversation.

I decided to call my salesman the next day and when I asked him how it was all going with our Mustang and when we can expect delivery he didn't even know it was there. After I asked what was taking so long and that people in Sydney had already got their cars that were on the same ship he tried to tell me that all Mustangs still get sent to Melbourne for quality control and sometimes even Adelaide before getting trucked or trained up to Brisbane. Even after trying to explain how the ship offloaded in Brisbane first and that you can track the progress of the car on each website right up until the point it get's to the dealer his response was "Don't believe all the e-mails you get because you can't believe it until we actually call you when we physically have the car." Obviously he wasn't even listening to what I was explaining to him :frusty:

So after explaining if it wasn't ready this week we wouldn't be able to pick it up until next month, which would mess with their monthly sales targets and his commission etc, he said he would try to get it organised for this week and luckily for him he's come through and we're picking it up tomorrow.

My advice would be to stay in contact with your dealer and not wait for them to contact you and hopefully they then try and stay ahead of you and you don't get the B/S we've had. All the excitement and anticipation we had for this Mustang went out the window and turned into serious frustration
Hopefully it all changes tomorrow...

It will change after you see it tomorrow I'm sure. I had to keep my dealer in the loop through the entire process. Until it got to the dealership they had no idea where it was. Its just another car for most of them so the passion for the car isn't there like it is for us.

Spoke to my dealer yesterday after sending a few questions with a reminder that it's due to land in Brisbane on Wednesday (which of course they didn't know).

Been told it's about 3 weeks from that date... 5 days for PrixCar handling, delivery to PD, techs removes all the plastics and check/fix the known common issues, then other techs will fit number plate and do anything else I've requested, PD detail and then truck to the dealership, handover the next day.

As there is no aftermarket items apart from the number plate I expected it to be a bit quicker than that. But at least been offered a loan car if I sell my current car beforehand.

Seems slow to me. I've been told around 10 days for the same process, including about 4 days of aftermarket stuff. Maybe NZ is a bit different?

You're lucky with the loan car. My existing car is going this week so I will be carless for at least a week.

Hey Danny....I was private messaging Deysha on this site (ford service) they seem to know more than my dealer in these stages. But yes mate it's been long and tedious :(

Darryn,
That doesn't sound right.. (but then again, not much in this process does sound right!). Mine was built on 9th August and Deysha (Ford Service) advised me yesterday that it had arrived at the port the day before (Thurs 18th).
