Well many of us are lucky enough to have placed orders. I figure 4 days tops for Ford to get those built and another to ship them out. Clearly I'm dumb as a rock.

I know that Cadillac has started taking orders for the ats-v and are giving about an 8 week delivery window. NO WAY we are going to be that lucky, but what do you guys think is likely. My B-day is late Sept and it would be awesome to get a pretty pony for my birthday. In a bizarre bit irony, I will be 526 years old.... weird huh?

Someone on here who seemed to have an inside track on orders said they would be taking delivery of their 2015 gt350 in Sept. Can't remember who now.

I have heard as early as September but as late as December. By next summer it won't matter.

Did you place an order at Jim Burke Ford? I bought my Boss 302 there.

Don't feel upset about selling the Boss 302 because the new GT350 will be a far better car.

So my dealer said that the car they ordered based on my specs will be built in August. For delivery, they said Ford often builds thousands and then ships them all at once. They said Ford will build a bunch, QC them, fix problems, build a bunch more, inspect, etc. At the end of that repetitive process Ford will have lots of cars in inventory with most all the problems they can find fixed up. Then, boom - big shipments going out everywhere.

I think the only official word I've heard from Ford is "late fall 2015". Since the first day of winter is December 22nd, that gives an impression that cars will be in dealerships before Christmas. September 23rd is the first day of fall. So the middle of fall is end of October start of November. If Ford delivers exactly when they intended when they first stated late fall, that means to me November is probably the earliest we can expect to see cars. However, they could always move the date if they choose.

So... how's that for a lot of analysis without any firm info? ;)

Yes, I did. It's my local dealership and I have known the sales manager & one of the salesmen for many years. When I first heard about the car, I stared bugging them both. Now Ta-Freakin'-Da mine is going to be built.

The dealer I ordered mine from yesterday told me that I should expect mine in the 4th quarter of 2015...as stated by his regional rep.

I was told builds will begin August. I'm fourth on the list and was told December.

The build date, Production start was August with first deliveries in the 4th quarter.
That would make it Oct, Nov & Dec. if accurate.
If mine is here and ready for next spring, I will be happy.
If I have to, will pick up with enclosed trailer, take home, put in garage.
Then drool til spring :)

The other big factor in delivery times are the trains. I remember last year Ford was having a bit of a problem with rail cars being loaded with vehicles, but the rail sat in a rail yards for much longer than anticipated. That could become a factor in delivery times, along with bad weather that starts around that time of year.

Some will get lucky and have them before the winter gets going in the US. Not all cars will be delivered in that late fall 2015 bracket either. Depends when the build is scheduled. As much as I want my car, all it's going to do is sit in my garage under a cover with a battery tender and other winterizing setups until everything is gone. Only thing I am doing is having mine detailed and clear bra'd if I have this winter.

It will also depend on what qtr your dealers allocation is scheduled to be built in, and when it is actually pulled. Given the typical MY build schedule, some 2016 GT350's won't be built till this time next year....
