Estimated Delivery Date - How accurate?

So this week the Estimated Delivery Date (EDD) finally appeared on COTUS for me: 11/28. I haven't gotten a build day/week yet, but I did get my VIN on 10/16.

For those who had their EDD posted and subsequently took delivery - what was your experience with the "estimation" piece of this? Did your car arrive earlier, later?

I'm asking because I was really hoping my car would arrive at least 2 days before Thanksgiving so I can go on a 14 hour road trip home for Turkey Day. Being that I live in Michigan, just 2 hours north of Flat Rock, what are the odds I take delivery earlier than 11/28?

It's probably build on 11/10.... my dealer called me today telling my build date should be on the 10th then 2 weeks delivery, cotus shows estimate 11/29 for me

Same for me. Got my VIN 10/16 as well. Dealer said I'm scheduled for 11/10. 2-3 weeks delivery to NY. And my EDD is 11/25. Perhaps you will get your car a bit sooner since you are closer.

My EDD is 11/16, but my dealer called and said he expects the car to arrive on 11/10. So who knows how accurate COTUS is.

I tracked one to my dealer, EDD was the 31st, it came in on the 28th. Upstate SC

it is a 100% estimate, based on a very small baseline of deliveries. you are looking at up to a week prior or a week later - should everything go right. if something is held up somewhere, you just never know. My best advice is to sit back, enjoy the anticipation and don't let the delays bother you too much. in the end, this car is very very worth the wait. Don't let the distance fool you - my car was in transit from Flat Rock to Omaha for 24 days, and people further away are getting them after 12 days in transit.

I have tracked 3 to my dealer. 2 of them came 7 days before the EDD and 1 came 8 days before the EDD.

For everyone's benefit, I just found this quote in "Additional Disclosures" on the COTUS tracking page:

Estimated Delivery date is a calculated date based on the current status of your vehicle which is compared against the history of vehicles in that status from the scheduling system. It is recalculated each time you access the customer order status website and will change as your order is processed, your vehicle is assembled and shipped.

My delivery date went from 11/10, to 11/4, to 11/6. Car showed up yesterday. Going to pick it up later.

My EDD on COTUS is 11/19 but it looks like my build week is 11/10. I see ZERO chance of it arriving on that date. If I'm lucky it would be the week after.

Est Delivery on Cotus: 11/1 Dealer: 11/10! That's a big difference. And its in transit since Tues and 5 hours away from plant. I'm not complaining as I know I'll get it within a week but just think is odd.

ust now my dealer says... you car will be here on 11/12 and cotus says 11/18... haha... he said somethin called... FORD VEHICLE VISIBILITY... i do know wat the hell tat means... but yea.. its coming on 11/12 .. huhahaha

My EDD is 11/5 but countdown is showing four days. My salesman just teased me with an email saying you should see me on your caller id very soon!!!
