The problem i'd say with them is that they tune a ton of LS cars, although Bill at AEM is great at what he does i'd say he just isnt too familiar with other products as i've only seen a whipple and a procharged 5.0 come tuned out of that shop. they have some sort of friendship with ESS for sure which can always be biased. Still think its a great kit regardless..
I appreciate the kind words. Although we have calibrated more than just a whipple and procharger kit though if you look at our FB page. We are primarily a tuning shop, since it's just my wife and I we just don't have the time to push parts. Yes, I know the owner of the ESS company as I've helped develop his OE carb compliance program and he just had a C7 kit pass through the SEMA epa program. Out of the 600+ cars I see a year on the dyno I'd say at least half of those or mustangs. I've done almost every FI kit, and nitrous kit on the market and some most haven't heard of. I personally have a S550 TT car, my wife sold her 19 SC A10, and she currently has a 13 custom set up single turbo car. We have mustangs that range from 7 seconds to 11 seconds come through the shop.

They would make just as m

I hadn't even considered that they were LS specialists and had little experience with S550's on a large scale. Thanks for that.
They are not just “LS specialist”. The other member is misinformed. They do hundreds of cars a year and half are Mustang. They have 7 second 3900lb mustangs all the way stock tuned cars. They own two big single turbo cars themselves. They also tune my stock Gen 2 coyote Fox body and did my Centi LSX C6 before this one. They had the fastest S550 over Lund and PBD for a while last year with a 3900lb car. 19 years tuning and 25 year ASE mechanic. Very knowledgeable and humble.

Really refreshing to hear the customer service experience during the issues were addressed promptly.
They took it very seriously and went above and beyond to help me.

For the installation it did take about 6 hours. I went with the shared drive which saved a ton of time. I was taking my time and bear in mind there are not written instructions yet, I was working off the video they send on a usb stick. Even still the kit is so simple you pretty much know where everything should go. I did not have to trim the coolant hose. I did have to trim the passenger side valve cover, it is a tight fit but I have been logging and so far I have had no knock so it would seem the clearance is fine. The only other thing I can think to mention is a I have a pp1 with upgraded radiator. There was a brace on each side that was in the way of the charge tubes so I had to remove them. I also did have to shift the location of the horn because it was also in the way of tube. I have done other SC installs and this was so easy I kept thinking how am I already at this point in the installation. Really if you have done some intermediate work on cars you should not have a problem with this.

So I take it you love your ESS KIt? I have a 19 Premium, PP1, A10, and want to go FI this winter and really like what I see with the G3 Kit with preferably a 10 rib belt pulleys and a Crank Support?. I want to make a True 700RWHP off of my Stock engine, 93 octane. I will do the basic OPG/CG, LTH with it.
Am I realistic in my Venture?. I see so many companies advertise 750-800whp on a stock engine/transmission but when I read people who have them on this forum they state they are only making 650-700WHP. And Heat soak to me is a definite concern even though some people will chime in with none sense crap that I shouldn't worry about it, THEY ARE CLUELESS.
Let Me Know.
Thank you for your help.

I think the G3 with the 115mm pulley would get you there.

For the heat soak, I have the G3 intercooler. When I log my runs, I typically see about a 30 degree increase in IATs over a pass. Just looking at the logs from one of my runs, I was sitting in the staging lanes at 95 degrees, at the end of the track max temp was 127. It was back down to 95 when i shut the logging off on the return lane.

Hope that helps.

Those are great IAT numbers. Was the kit install on your PP1 straight forward except for the lower radiator supports needing modding. What extras did you have to buy separately from what comes with the kit?
2: how does it start and drive on the street compared to OEM?.
Thank you for taking the time to help me out.

I have a base 300A car, so I have a smaller Rad than the PP1 cars do, but I just had to trim the coolant hose that connects to the thermostat a little, and the valve cover as mentioned. Didn't need to touch the lower rad support at all. The install was very easy. Just had to purchase injectors/BAP/tune. Mine drives very nice and smooth. Until you get on the throttle, it drives very stockish, when you do get on it, power is very predicable.

Thanks. Just wondering,
1: Why did you go with the Ford 56LB Injectors instead of ID1050? Is it because your 93 pump?
2: Is the Vortech BAP the more reliable, best performing BAP for 93 Pump.?
Just trying to narrow down my extras to what people use and like.
Thank You

Can you post an image or screenshot from the video of the trimmed valve cover?

Yes, don't plan on running E85 and PBD had a pretty good deal on the 56lbs injectors so I went with them. As for the BAP, I just picked up one used off the forum here - I'm not sure how it stacks up against the other ones on the market. I know some are always on, and others can be controlled to turn increase voltage as needed. I believe mine is the always on type.

one member already made over 700 with the g3 kit and 7.5 psi pulley so it should not be difficult to have a true 700 rwhp car. I do not know what mine makes right now. I will get it tuned on a dyno eventually. The last car I had tuned was a c7 and it was cheap AF compared to what shops are charging for the Mustang. They want 1-1.2k. I am not forking that kind of money over right now. ESS told me with the tune I have and setup I have they made 683 whp and this was with conservative timing so I think I would gain quite a lot if I had a custom tune.
