Just purchased my very own Black 2015 Mustang GT with the performance package!! So excited and cannot wait to pick it up this weekend!
This is my first ever Mustang! :ford:

My car is coming with Equipment Group 300A. For those guys that have this option, can you tell me what its all about? How does the sound system sound, and does it come satellite ready? Do you feel like you're missing out by not getting the better option? :shrug:

I'm coming from an Infiniti with the Bose package, so I am kind of spoiled when it comes to my sound system lol...

It is bare bones compared to the others. A non-mustang person would not realize it is the Plain Jane version because the visors have lights, the seats are powered, and the cabin still has a quality feel to it.
The sound system is OK. I listen to the engine more.
It is not satellite ready.
I do not feel like I am missing out since I want my car as light as possible.

300A

This is my 3rd vehicle (F150 Lariat and Explorer Limited are our daily drivers) so I didn't opt for luxury, just power. That is why I went with the 300A GT with the PP and Recaros. All go, no show!. Cost was not a deciding factor for me, however the 400A package does add $4,000. The only exterior mod that I am in the process of is changing the rear bumper to the "Premium." And I replaced the door sill kick panels to the "Premium" sills with the aluminum inlay. Other than that. I am completely satisfied with my "Base" package since the PP gives you an upgraded dash.

You will be disappointed in the quality of this stereo. However you can always install a "better" stereo with subwoofer for a $1500.

Joe....I didn't do the research I should have and went buy price alone, as I also bought a 300A GT/PP.

The major things I wanted, like the manual trans, 5.0 coyote, recaro's and all the goodies in the performance package I am very happy with, the radio was not that important, but as others have mentioned....the stereo in my 2008 Honda Civic sounds better.....

I was disappointed when I found out the rear bumper/diffuser is not the same, and to me the back of the mustang looks unfinished with the base model one piece bumper, with a black mustang It probably won't be as noticable, I was also looking forward to the switches for the 4 separate driving modes and the little horse shinning on the ground from the mirror, well it's too late now.

yeah the main thing i wanted out of the premium was that pony projection light, LOL!

didnt think it was worth 4k for those puddle lights though.

Not too worried about the sound system, I'll be upgrading the speakers.
Im glad the base comes with a backup camera and Bluetooth connect.
This is going to be a major build car for power and speed. I didn't see spending the extra 4k on the touch screen since its not my daily. Just going to put that 4k into upgraded exhaust, tune etc.

The base speakers aren't terrible, but they're not good. There's actually decent bass for bassy songs.

But with a GT the engine noise should hold you over, no? I've been so used to driving other cars that even in my V6 I'm turning off the stereo and just enjoying the engine.

The base cars are great, the speakers are okay but I find myself turning down the radio to hear the roar of the car anyways.

The stereos in modern cars do not suck, they are fine for 95% of car buyers--even if Mustangs offered a $5000 aftermarket type upgrade the other 5% would still say it sucked. Anyone that post opinions in extreme negatives don't warrant listening to.

back in the day, my brother's 1996 altima with base audio sound better than most domestic car audio systems today.

i can say that about my wife's 2011 and 2014 nissan sentras as well.
