This engine rattles when throttle equals no acceleration or deceleration. Steady speed like 75 on the freeway. If I add gas it stops and if I let off the gas it stops?

Any ideas?

Sounds like it’s going lean on cruise speed. Have to consider the type of vehicle and engine.

I'm thinking wrist pin or main bearing.

Not going lean. Toyota 4 banger.

This is definitely an engine mechanical knock.

Those are generally bullet proof. We use to buy there takeouts from Japan back in the day for very inexpensive. Not sure if there emissions stuff is the same. Ot was motors with 30k miles on them. Regardless, inexpensive motors to go theough.
