Just wondering in the warmer weather does anyone remove the engine cover to let more air circulate around the engine and would it permit more heat escape?

The engine cover on the Mustangs is already minimal as is. It's not like it's a big piece of fake plastic. You already see the intake and everything.

I removed it bc I think it looks ugly as hell and makes the engine appear taller than it already is. IMHO of course

Thanks everyone, I am going to remove it as well.

BTW, that CAI looks awesome.

Did you have to remove the strut brace to get it off? Or just pull up and slide it out from under it?

Can be removed without removing the brace. If you have a nicely painted cover, it may get scratched if you don't.

I have used microfiber cloth on my painted cover when sliding it out.

Just lift it up gently and slowly. Then pull it out slowly. If you're careful then you won't have to worry about scratching it at all. Mine has come off dozens of times with no worries. And I don't think taking it off will make any difference in anything. It comes down to preference. Do whatever you feel better off with!
