I read somewhere on this forum the enclosed box is already shipping with all new units though I have not seen any pictures. Hopefully whipple can chime in here.

Whipple has replied in another thread that in fact all new units are shipping with their new closed CAI box. They also confirmed that they have CARB and EO # for the 2016's Would like to see new closed airbox as well :cheers:

For California and in order to pass CARB and get the required EO # (so it's street legal) it has to be a closed CAI. According to a prior Whipple post I believe they said the bottom is open with a charcoal filter.
