Hey guys, so I've been doing some digging about passing/failing emissions and I know theoretically I should be totally fine with the list of mods I currently have on the car:

- Roush Axlebacks
- Stainless steel H pipes
- JLT air / oil separator
- Factory intake/factory headers with cats
- Factory Tune (of course, no check engine light)

I've lived in Illinois in a county where I've been lucky enough to have no emissions testing (my last car was catless, fbo, tuned, the works). But I'm moving to San Antonio in about a month or so, and changed over my address and everything. So my question is, will I be fine with these mods? I've never had to emissions test before, so I'm not sure exactly how in depth they'll look at/under the car too.

[Also, as an aside, I just got the Diode Dynamics switchback turn signals, so maybe they'll get on me about the blinker noises too? Again, I just don't know what they'll deem as a "FAIL"]

I live in San Antonio and we don’t have emissions testing. They barely look at our vehicles during the safety inspection at the place we go to. You should be fine.

They don't check for modifications of any sort. They only check the actual emissions. You have nothing that would affect that at all since your cats are intact.

As far as turn signals, they only check that they work visually. They will not care about how fast or slow the sound is inside the car. Heck, they never cared on my old car that the lights were tinted.

Edit: I live in Dallas and didn't realize SA didn't have testing. Either way, you'd have no issues.

Austin-Round Rock: Travis. Williamson.
Houston-Galveston-Brazoria: Brazoria. Fort Bend. Galveston. Harris. Montgomery.
Dallas-Fort Worth: Collin. Dallas. Denton. Ellis. Johnson. Kaufman. Parker. Rockwall. Tarrant.
El Paso: El Paso.

Thank you so much guys. This is definitely a bit more reassuring. So in San Antonio it's just safety inspections then? I might stay the night at a friend's place in Dallas and then get it inspected there. I guess different cities have different inspection requirements? I thought it was statewide.

I'll be passing emissions and I've got aftermarket headers. It's all about having a tune with the sensors on for the rear O2's or you fail instantly. That or have a shady friend who just does an OBDII read on a different car and calls it your own.

We don't have the sniffer test in Austin.

The safety inspections are the same Statewide. And, it'll need to be completed prior to registration. The emission testing is conducted the same statewide, but apparently only in certain counties (see my post above). It's done at the same time as your safety inspection, if required.
