I need to fold in the passenger mirror when parking in our garage. Well actually my wife folds in the mirror;)
Seriously a power passenger mirror folding mechanism would be sweeeeet. Just my $0.02.

I have them on my 2013 F150 and love them.

Cause the UK mirrors are Massive and look like Dumbo ears, and you have no BLIS in the UK mirrors.
Have read you can fold the US mirrors back by hand?

Yea they were a nightmare, once got whacked and lucky for me the roof was down so the mirror missed the paintwork and landed in the car
I think the US mirrors are smaller than the S197 mirrors?

Exactly.

Why not order the EU parts and convert the US versions? I mean it's not rocket science if in fact the parts are readily available. It would prob only take a couple of hours to do the whole conversion.

how could folding mirrors be even slightly useful? if your parking that close to someone you not going to be able to get out of the damn car or they aren't going to be able to get into theirs.

folding mirrors are the kind of rubbish I'm glad isn't weighing my car down its already heavy enough.

Look at the EU stangs and the US stangs. They look significantly different. Also EU occupies a smaller space than the US. They have tighter parking and more complexes. We have houses and much wider parking, We don't need fold-able mirrors. Well, most of us anyway.

I came from a 2013 BMW 335i and the electronic folding mirrors are great when you go to a Dumbell rich environment. Grocery store, shopping mall etc. parking lots where dumbells with crappy cars don't care about yours.

We don't usually need them otherwise but i nice to have when the biggest SUV parks next to your new Stang. It's on rare occassion I park in these environments but when I do I park r away from John Q Soccer mom and her SUV and three mangie kids.
