Is this metallic clanking noise normal after shutting off the engine. Occurs every time.

16 Ecoboost Premium with performance pack.

Check the following areas:

1) ebrake cable assembly; located under driver side trans tunnel, above exhaust. This is a known area of under car rattles. The cables become loose and rap against the floor pan or exhaust. There is a thread on here showing how to tighten it up if not wanting to take it to Dealer.

2) exhaust connections under passenger side. Check to make sure all exhaust pipes are securely connected and have not become loose at the actual connections. If there are loose connections you should see blackened exhaust blowout stains on pipes.

3) Possible internal resonator or catalytic converter problem - Ford would be best to check that out and because exhaust is warranted.

The only other rattle area would be exhaust at rear if it is touching something.

I appreciate the quick feedback. I’ll check into those areas.
