Trying to learn which parts directly effect others, what can be done by itself, and if a tune is necessary.

Example(parts I'm considering)If I added a cold air intake, throttle body, intake manifold, high flow turboback exhaust would that offset anything or if I added a tune after that could it affect the car negatively ? Trying to learn go easy :D

I'm not sure what throwing hypothetical parts (that don't exist yet) at the car that hasn't been released yet is going to do at this point.

Airflow=horsepower. Anything you do to increase airflow increases horsepower.

Some places that turbo motors could use some help, usually (we know nothing about this motor and it's engineering yet) are things like the turbo down pipe, intake piping. A tune will maximize the efficiency of everything working together and usually is required when you start monkeying with these new cars

Just wait. The parts will come. There is no way to tell where the weak links will be in regards to piping sizing, fuel system, or wagt ever the limits may prove to be. Let the experts sort it out, let the tuners figure out what works and what don't and save your money and time.

Was just going to post this...I'm looking at the ecoboost if I get a 2015; I wouldn't mind getting it up to 350 or close to 400 horses. But if I do so, how badly would I be killing the fuel economy of this car? Anybody with experience out there able to weigh in and give some insight?

Man don't mess with a brand new motor doing all that! Change your order to a V8!
I did some of that to an off warranty 2008 saab 9-3 turbo. I got slightly more fun at the expense of a ruined transmission from too much torque and HP.
Your warranty will be toast the second you mess with it and it's already got 310hp!

I would put parts on all at once and make sure everything is rated to handle it. From what I understand mustang is great when it comes to aftermarket

Also make sure whatever parts you get come with stickers, and that you put all of them on your car. Each one is good for 5 HP so I'm not sure wtf is the big deal in the other threads...

Yes and put a super charger on it too. And only run Canadian air in your tires, it runs cooler.

...if I go for a V8, it'll be a 2011/2012 or a leftover 2013/2014. I'm spending 30k tops and can't go for the 2015 V8 premium.

Economy doesn't change unless you use more of that available power generally. In fact, a good tune and it'll get better

Example, my car for 17 mpg avg stock. (2011 gt/cs). Now, with TVS, 585 rwhp, I get 18 mpg avg. It drops severely when I stay in boost more though.

wow,

i think you are a bit new to this.. right no one knows how much tuning can be done with this motor..

the exhaust header incorporated into the head changes all the rules.. lets hope the exhaust ports have some fudge factor in them..

and you might wiki that.

just trying to help..

beers
